I'm a retired 75year old female and I've been a widow for over 15 years. I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren all living in Northern Virginia. I'm easygoing, love to entertain and cook, although I don't cook much for myself. I love to dance and go line dancing a couple of times a week. I traveled extensively for 12 years in a 19 foot Roadtrek RV and managed to go through all of the lower 48 States.
Since I no longer have an RV, I only host and don’t have the opportunity to boondock with others.
Morehead City, NC is a coastal community in Eastern NC. We are a small town with much to offer such as the ocean and rivers, fresh seafood, wonderful beaches and friendly people!
I don't currently have an an RV. But I had a 19 foot Roadtrek for 12 years and traveled extensively, mostly by myself. My driveway is only about 30 feet long so I can only accommodate smaller vehicles. I have a double car garage so width of the RV is not a problem. If you are towing, you can unhook and there is plenty of room to park your tow on my quiet street.
Ginger was an all around great host... great communication, she was warm and friendly, and was very welcoming.
The location was in a quiet and safe neighborhood near lots of local attractions.
We could not have asked for a better stay!
Sadly that’s where we were at. Very gracious and friendly host enjoyed shared a few stories in the garage. Quiet and comfortable. Thank you for being a host
She was wonderful. We keep our social distance and she was welcoming. It was a short stay, just overnight and out the next morning. Thank you!
Very nice stay in Morehead City. Ginger is a very interesting person with a lot of experiences to share. Really enjoyed visiting with her and hope to return when I’m back in that area.
We had a fabulous two night stay. Had some lovely talks with our host. Would certainly recommend a day in historic Beaufort.
Hope to return here one day.
Gave great recommendations for area restaurants and things to see in the area. She shared experiences she had when traveling in her Roadtrek. Very warm, welcoming woman and we very much enjoyed getting to meet her. Home is very convenient to Morehead City, Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, and New Bern.
Thanks so much for allowing us to stay 4 days!
Very welcoming lady
Interested in knowing people; we had good discussions and exchanges
Generous: she provided us with the 30 amps it allowed us to sleep better in the hot weather!
She is welcome to our home
Thank you Ginger for your welcome
Our stay at Gingers place was all to brief! It felt like we were all old friends even tho we met only briefly. Ginger is a sweet human with great stories and a gypsy soul. She gave us delicious squash bread for our early departure to the ferry. Ginger is welcome at our place any time!!
Ginger was wonderful - very welcoming and patient as we fumbled our way in hooking up our rig as newbie Boondockers. We had a lovely meal at a restaurant that she recommended at Atlantic Beach and enjoyed delicious pie while we visited - very gracious host! Thanks so much for your hospitality.
We are new members of boomdockerswelcome. The stay at Ginger's driveway was our first time using "boomdockerswelcome". Ginger was a wonderful host and we enjoyed the talking with her. We would like to see her again may be in Germany on our home! Thank you again for the nice and friendly welcome in your home.

Gingera is a wonderful host living in a very quiet neighborhood. After years of RVing, including 12 years in a Roadtrek, she is giving back by welcoming boondockers. A most interesting lady who leads a fascinating life. Looking forward to including this area in a future trip plan to have the opportunity to stay again and learn more.
Cordial, congenial welcoming, June 15, 2017. Then, we discovered all our mutual RV trips - tho we haven't completed near as many as Ms Gingera. She has actually met Mike & Jennifer Wendland, who we always read about. You will be lucky to catch Ms Gingera, as she has a very active life ! This may have been the quietest night we ever had ! We unknowingly hit during the Big Rock Fishing Contest ( $2,321,975 purse, you can imagine the excitement !) and saw a $400,000 winning Marlin ! We had no idea this event would be going on, but we may become regular spectators !
Gingera was incredibly welcoming. She has some incredible stories from her 12 years on the road. Extremely hospitable and really new all the amazing things in the area. Incredible personality and extremely easy to talk with while there. We hope to see you again on our way South! Thanks so much for having us. May you have many more incredible adventures in life!
