I'm a story teller with tales from 60 different countries and more than half the States. I'm now retired after 35 years as an Estimator/ Project Manager for 4 different General Engineering Construction Companies. I've been retired for several years and have just now sold my 2,000 sf house and am now living in my 88 sf Camper. My intent is to travel for the rest of my life, until either my body or mind give out. My very loose plan is to explore North America by camper for six months, then put it into storage and travel to destinations around the world for the remainder of the year with a backpack. Then come back and start the cycle again.
I took a midlife retirement when I was 38 to travel around the world for four years. During that time, we purchased a VW Camper van in England, toured around 16 different European countries, over 6 months driving about 15,000 miles. The last year of that 4 year hiatus was a R/T drive to Costa Rica from California over a one year period. Also, over the years I was working and raising a family, we took vacations to both Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. And, I've got 18 trips to Mexico since 1973.
So, you can see I'm somewhat of a "Road Warrior". Sorry I don't have a place to reciprocate your generosity to stay at my place. It's just that I don't have a "My Place" anymore!
Pick me, you won't be disappointed!
Jack of all trades, can fix or work on anything (except computers). And, I can cook too!
I'm both a city and country kind of guy. Around people or alone, both have their advantages. "Your place" would be far more desirable than an RV Resort.
Born and raised in Lodi, CA; Lived and attended university in Fresno, CA; Lived and raised my family in Santa Rosa, CA. On the road now.
I'm a lean and mean Truck Camper traveler. I drive a 2000 Ford F-250 4x4 with a 1996 Weekender 1010 by Skyline. Both are very new looking despite their age. As a DIY'er, I've up graded them both with all kinds of bells and whistles.
