My husband and I married in 1982 and are the proud parents of married sons in their 30's. We are tickled pink at the women they chose and are delighted to now have young ladies in the family. Our first granddaughter was born in July 2018 to our younger son and his wife and our first grandson was born to our older son and his wife in February 2019 and we are over the moon! Our younger son and his wife had a son in June 2020 and our older son and his wife are expecting a son in June 202. David is a North Carolinian; I am originally from upstate NY, but have been happy to be in the south for over 55 years.

He is retired from a position in fundraising for a university. Prior to that, he worked in the world of banking. His passions are his family, backpacking, hiking, biking, skiing, and playing racquetball/handball/pickleball. He recently finished his lifelong goal of hiking the Appalachian Trail!

I am retired from my work in education, which included being an elementary school teacher, guidance counselor, parent educator, university administrator, and presenter in the mass media. My passions are our family, our family lakehouse and the lifelong friends we have there, the fun and support my girlfriends and I offer each other, charity work, hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, sailing, playing pickleball, and knitting.

We sold our "sticks and bricks" in May 2017 and are thoroughly enjoying being full-time RVers. We love seeing this beautiful country, having great adventures, and meeting our fellow Americans.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

When we are "beelining," we frequently stop at Cracker Barrel or Walmart. We've loved our stays at Boondockers Welcome and Harvest Hosts locations. Have also stayed on BLM land out west.

Lovely couple with a warm and inviting spirit

They stayed one evening on their way south. Very nice couple with a demonstrated zest for life. Would welcome them to visit anytime. They came, stayed and left without leaving any evidence of there having been here. My type of guest.

Wonderful Folks

A wonderful couple, we are hoping they return someday. And I'm not just saying that because we've been sheltering in place for so long!

On Top of Our Guest List!

Of all the great Boondockers we’ve had the pleasure of hosting, Bobbi and David are sitting at the top. They are such a great couple; we are envious of them... almost as much as we are of their ‘home on wheels’ 😃. We shared a wonderful evening with them just chatting and telling our stories over a bottle of wine as if we had been long time friends. We hope to be able to see them again on our travels or to have them stay here again should their route bring them our way another day.
