We are in our mid 60's and have been retired for 6 years. Donna retired from a major airline as a software developer and I retired as a tool and equipment rental manager of a General Contractor based in the southeast. We have evolved from tent camping up through popups to travel trailers to fifth wheels to a too big Type A motor home and are currently, 2016, in a 31 foot Type C. We can be 100% self contained in our Type C, however a "plug in" might sometimes be nice and a fee for power is understood. I really enjoy talking RV with people, particular new RV'ers, and won't hesitate to grab my tool bag and help another RV'er with an RV challenge or help someone understand an RV system.
I have serviced all the systems on our various RV's. I am handy with tool and welcome the chance to pull out the tool bag and help someone service their RV. I have done tons of reading on RV's and RV systems and have a good knowledge of systems. I have operated many types of equipment and power tools but I am certainly do not consider myself as an accomplished operator. Donna, being a software developer for 20 plus years is very good with computers.
August 2016. We just finished our first Boondocking experience at Grand Isle State Park on Grand Isle, Vermont.
We are from Villa Rica, Georgia. About 30 miles due west of Atlanta, Ga.
Our RV is a 2014 Forest River Forester Type C Motor Home with two slides and a Chevy Equinox in tow.
