Satellite engineer for 31 years with Lockheed Martin. Retired after a 6 year stint managing a satellite ground station in Australia. Returned to the USA and bought a truck and 5th wheel. Traveling with an eye towards buying a home eventually, probably somewhere in the northwest.

As soon as we got the truck and 5th wheel our first trip was up to Fairbanks, Alaska, where we are from, to attend our daughter's wedding. We blasted up there to be in time and then took forever getting back, including traveling the Top of the World Highway to Dawson in the Yukon. Muddy, narrow dirt road for 300km, pretty exciting with a 5th wheel. Just barely fit on the necessary ferry crossing at Dawson. Only us, not room for another car. Everything was covered in mud but we think it was worth it.

My interests are fishing, guitar and saxophone, soccer, old cars, and building custom performance engines. My wife enjoys quilting. We're reasonably fit and like to bike ride and hike.

crash's Rig

2015 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4. 27 foot 2004 Keystone Montana Mountaineer with two slide outs on the same side. I made a nifty hinged mount for the TV so I could get to the large alcove behind it. The rig came with speakers but not hooked up. Since TVs only come with a headset audio output I needed an amp to use the speakers. So I bought a car stereo, wired it in and sent the headset jack output to the AUX input. Ipod to the USB port and I'm all set. It even came with a little remote control. I love the 6.7L diesel. Up a 10% grade in 4th gear at 60MPH with the cruise control set. Down a 10% grade with the Jake brake set and never touching the brakes.
