I'm self employed carpenter with plenty of space for RV's that don't care for campgrounds. I live on 40 acres outside of the small town ,Kremmling CO with my wife and my daughter. We enjoy exploring the US and understand the chaos that can be involved with RV campgrounds. We have three horses that my wife and daughter like to compete on in local rodeo events. Our family enjoys 4-wheeling, prospecting, and rafting. It is not a far drive to the river from our home. We are also surrounded by BLM where we can go 4-wheeling and off-roading right from the house. We are also only an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Beautiful property with Jeep trails

Nice host with beautiful property. Enjoyed the nearby Jeep trails while visiting. We travel in a 43 foot motorhome and it was easily accessible. Thanks for hosting us.

Great location, great host!

I had just a one night stay but totally enjoyed my stay. The site is on open rolling ranch land with views of snow-capped mountains. Beautiful and peaceful. Host is a very friendly and interesting guy. Showed me through his operation and I learned a lot. Had a great conversation. Thanks for having me!

Quiet Stay!

We enjoyed one night at this very quiet and remote boondocking location. It couldn't be a more beautiful view! Thank you so much for your hospitality during our stay.

Boondocking in Kremmling, CO

John's place outside of Kremmling has easy access and a broad, open and level boondocking area. Very restful and quiet. We enjoyed visiting with John and recommend his location if you're in the area!

Warm welcome

Many thanks to Hatchet Jack for being so welcoming. We enjoyed their company immensely. Coming from the other side of the world it was fascinating to talk about timber and building techniques. This site is handy to Kremmling and the Gore canyon. Cheers!

Wonderful host, great views

Hatchet Jack was a wonderful host. He offered a few options for setting the trailer, and I chose the field, it was beautiful watching the sun rise and set in the mountains. The Sage smelled fantastic. Very close to Kremmling, CO which is a small town with a few great restaurants, and a market. Also close to activities including white water rafting and hiking. A great place to recharge the (human) batteries.

Beautiful Vistas

Very kind host with lots of good info on further places for boondocking on our trip. Great directions to get to his place and it was lovely to wake up to rolling hills after a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. He was only about 50 minutes away from the southwest gate.

Hatchet Jack was so very good to us and we appreciate it. When we pulled up to his place he was in town so I called him. He said: "Make yourself right at home"! We got to see his operation and his beautiful log home.
Thanks Hatchet Man

Super friendly and gracious hosts

Hatchet Jack and his family were so kind to us. They gave us a choice of locations and we decided to pull right up to the garage where we were supplied with power. He let us fill our water too.

Hatchet Jack taught us about his sawmill and log house building, and his wife brought us to visit the horses, showed us her quilting and shared a bottle of wine with us. Their dog Louie was friendly and patient with our puppy. It's was great to be surrounded by mountains and just relax at this beautiful and welcoming location for a couple days. Thanks so much for everything!

Fantastic people on amazing land.

Hatchet Jack and his family were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The spot is a bit out of the way but not hard to find. We loved it so much we extended our stay by a few days to go fishing and recuperate before getting back on the road. He made our first time boondocking with Boondockerswelcome.com a special one. Thanks again Jack.
