Taking advantage of so much that Sun City, a retirement community, has to offer and continuing to learn remain important in our lives. Sue is a retired hospice nurse and Tom spent a good portion of his working life in the administration of not-for-profit agencies. From Connecticut, we sold our house in 1997 and embarked on four years of full-time RVing. Since settling in AZ in 2001, we have been part-time adventurers. Since the late '80s (when off the road) , we have enjoyed the company of visitors and hosts as members of the Evergreen and Affordable Travel B and B Clubs. It was the similarity in experience that drew us to Boondocks Welcome.

Yes, we have a friendly and well-behaved Shih-tzu mix. A great travel companion. Barks briefly when the doorbell rings and when he sees a coyote. Protects his space when annoyed by a larger dog. He doesn't go for the intimacy of fellow K-9s.
Both east and west coasts, rivers, lakes, ponds - wherever there is water.
We're in Sun City, Arizona - a senior community with more to keep residents busy than one can possibly imagine. No matter what your interests, there is opportunity to fulfill them here.
We have a 22' Lazy Daze Class C motorhome. Having energy independence via the sun (no generator), we prefer boondocking. We have no slideouts, although we do have an awning used only if appropriate to the location and if needed to reduce heat.
I hosted this experienced and knowledgeable RVing couple. They are a respectful, professional, and wonderful pair. I highly recommend them as guests and likely as hosts as well! They are welcome back here anytime.
Tom and Sue where very welcoming. When we pulled in Tom offered us water and electric. They invited us to coffee and donuts in their dining room the next morning, along with their neighbors and their boondocking couple. We enjoyed or stay and hope to see them again.
What a wonderful couple and great location. Thank you for your hospitality and friendship. Look forward to hosting you in your future travels.
Tom and Sue seemed like they would of been great hosts. This being my first time to use Boondockers I messed up and gave Tom the size of my trailer only. My truck and trailer would not fit in his driveway. It was early afternoon so we had a good chat and I decided to continue on to California. They played with Lucky my dog for a little bit, had a good chat and I headed to Ca where I have a job as Camp Host at Lake Kaweah Park near the south entrance of Sequia Nat Park starting on the 8th. Life is exciting and I am loving this lifestyle. Thanks to Tom and Sue for offering even though it did not workout.
Tom & Sue have lived a great professional life and have a great amount of experience RV-ing. We were sponges, soaking up their colorful, fun experiences, and have enjoyed at least 2 visits with them. We took them out for dinner at a local beach when they visited us in Victoria, and it was a wonderful relaxing visit. We are looking forward to expanding our 3 months traveling every year, into a more full time lifestyle, so we hope to see Tom & Sue much more often..
They're fantastic! Very welcoming and friendly, they know all about the local area and have mounds of literature related to things to do in Arizona. A very pleasant couple to stay with.
Tomsue was a great stop. Centrally located, easy to park in. We were there 3 nights. Their hospitality was awesome. Very friendly and outgoing, and it was fruit season. Had grapefruit and oranges-yum! Really knew the area well and made suggestions on what to do. They know the ups and downs of rving and can share great experiences.
We stayed with them for two nights. The conversation was lively and up beat. Generous poeple who welcomed us from start to finish. You certainly will enjoy your time here. And they got back to us right away when we first emailed.
