We enjoy meeting people with similar interests and completely different too. We know how nice it is to have a safe place to spend a night or two. Been there looking for a place while it is getting darker and darker. We like to travel without too many plans, as plans are only made to be broken. Sometimes the best times are when you play it by ear. So fun seeing different country with your bedroom along.
Ron is a great fixer.
We have a Manx cat. She stays close to the camper if she ventures out at all.

They spent only one night with me but we spent several hours sharing stories. Turns out we had a lot in common. I hope to visit them some time in the future.
The Marty's were our first Boondockers at our place and if others are like them, I hope we stay full with campers. We had a delightful time just chatting on the porch with them. Just wonderful people. Now we just have to get up to their place.
We needed a place to stay near Glacier NP and so glad we found this spot. This couple was so friendly and accommodating to us for our visit. There was another rv there when we arrived and yet another one arriving when we left. They say the more the merrier. The countryside is so beautiful yet close enough to a town to get what you need. We would love to come back and visit with them and stay longer. It was so nice meeting them and talking to them.
We stayed at martys in early August, 2017. Great place to park - flat, grassy area with a choice of sun or shade. Close to town if you are in need of supplies, far enough away to be in the country. Easy to find, and a good approach. We had a very restful night at their quiet country place. Enjoyed chatting in the evening after arriving & in the AM as we were preparing to leave. Would definitely recommend martys if you are planning a visit to the Kalispell area.
The Martys were amazing hosts who welcomed us right in and even helped us plan for our trip to Glacier National Park. We really felt a connection with them and hope to see them in the future. Site was beautiful and despite the wildfire smoke, had some aromatic trees. Thanks again!
We stayed with the Martys one night on they way through to Whitefish. The location is perfect, it's a very beautiful place and the Martys are very kind, helpful people. Loved to learn about how they built the house and how they integrated it with the hill.
We had the best time staying here for 3 nights as our base for exploring Glacier National Park. Our hosts were so accommodating - offering several spots to choose from. Their place was easy to find and a cinch to park in, their communication was excellent and they were very helpful and accommodating. This was also a beautiful place - quiet and gorgeous views! Highly Recommend!
We had the pleasure of meeting the Martys in early August, 2017 while staying with them to explore Glacier National Park. They were so welcoming and provided valuable information about the area that made our trip much more enjoyable. We got to chat with them each day about our respective adventures and truly loved being on their beautiful property. They even share some of their freshly picked huckleberries with us one morning, a first-time treat for us!
As Australians, we wanted to visit Glacier National Park. Martys was the perfect place to base ourselves to do this. Martys was very helpful with suggestions and directions. The manicured lawns were welcoming as was the shade of the willow trees on their 6 acre property on the outskirts of Kalispell. We would enjoy seeing them in Australia one day. Thanks for the shared experiences.
We had Glacier National Park on our bucket list for many years and were excited to find this nice retired couple who are still super-active. Great stories of adventure, taking their motorcycle up to Alaska in the 70s, boating, 4-wheeling, you name it. Treated us like family from the get-go. They are lifetime Flathead County natives having grown up and gone to school in the area. There wasn’t much local they didn’t know about. Their big spread with all the grass and trees made for a fantastic Boondocker spot for the few days we spent. And we did feel Welcome. Nice cat, too. Sure hope to catch up with the Martys next time through or maybe in AZ!
While visiting Kalispell in July we found a motorhome for sale that we wanted to buy, then we had to find a buyer for the old rig. These guys were wonderful, offering help and advice to make the transition from the old to new rig so much easier. Both the hosts and their property make a perfect combination for a Boondockers Welcome location. We hope they are able to make the trip to Australia so we can try to match their hospitality. Thank you so much guys. Also, a big thank you to Marianne for creating Boondockers Welcome, otherwise we would never have had the opportunity to meet these guys!! (Woodgate Wanderers)
We loved staying here! The hosts were so kinda and the location was perfect.
We stayed here for 5 days. Excellent hosts, very friendly . Their property was a boondocker's dream; trees, grass, level, and lot's of birds. We hope they will let us return in the future, one of the highlights of our 6,500 mile journey.
Our first Boondockers Welcome experience exceeded our expectations! Beautiful setting, warm friendly hosts, and great fun visiting with the hosts and the other guests staying at the same time. We'd love to visit these folks again. Sets a high bar for future stops.
What a great place to stay. Beautiful area and great people. Even shared some huckleberry sand ice cream. I hope to see them again.
What a great spot!! Centrally located in the Flathead valley and the Martys are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They were welcoming and such gracious hosts, we loved our time there. Also had a blast at karaoke night. We have new friends in Montana! Thanks again for everything guys!
we stayed 4 nights, very quiet,&, we, loved their house, whilst, waiting to get our windscreen replaced, they couldn't be more accommodating, & we were sad to go, but, we are heading south for the sunshine, I hope.
Our very first boondockers stop , we didn't know how "this" worked our stay was marvelous and we hope to meet this couple again! Great spot Great stay!
We planned on staying one night but they allowed us to extend our stay so we could get some things fixed on our truck. Plenty of room for our 35' fifth wheel with a spectacular view of the flathead valley and mountains all around. Beautiful property. They also have one of the coolest houses we have seen! We enjoyed getting to know them during our stay and hope to visit again. Thank you guys so much for everything!
From a breathtaking view of the Flathead Valley, Marty's wonderful property and hospitality creates a superb launching point to experience all of Kalispell's unique features. Recreation abounds: fishing, hiking, biking, floating, shopping and dining are all within reach. They are such wonderful hosts, though, you might not want to leave the farm. We camped in a beautiful shady setting tucked in front of a field of picturesque prairie grass. You don't want to miss this destination.
We stayed 3 nights. Parked next to the garage. Had electricity and water. Plenty of space for our truck camper and enclosed trailer. They lead us on a motorcycle tour of the area-beautiful! Had a great time getting to know them and hope to see them this winter in AZ. 2 more guests dropped in while we were there; was very nice meeting them too.
We were thrilled and delighted to get to know our wonderful Hosts. Their homestead was beautiful with mowed rolling green areas and wild areas that thrilled our dog because she could run and play off leash. They let us stay four nights and also provided some excellent deserts for our mutual dining pleasure. They are very kind, gentle, and caring people and we hope to be able to visit them again. Our dog loved them and, in turn, they were very tolerant of our dog running around the property liked she owned it.
their home is centrally located, neat as a pin, they are friendly and helpful, heck yea we would stay there again!
We couldn't have had a better experience here. Their hospitality and overall sweetness was so welcoming for us. This was our first time using Boondockers Welcome, and they have set the bar high! The area is also gorgeous and plenty of room. Our dogs loved running in the grass surrounding the area, and we liked being pretty close to town to run some errands. We hope we will cross paths again!
