We enjoy time spent with family and friends, cooking and of course traveling. We are looking forward to retiring in a " couple of years" upgrading our rig and going full time. We are small business owners and have only traveled close to home on long weekends in our rig.
We both love to cook ( and eat! ). Lots of travel stories and great places to share. Axel is a jack of all trades and can fix just about anything that gets thrown at him.
We are in a great location accessible to many great places Maine to Massachusetts. Trips to Boston via train 1o minutes away. Local restaurants are plentiful and many excellent choices are nearby.
we travel with a black & white spayed female tuxedo named Bitsy
2007 Thor Mandalay with 4 slides. We tow a 2010 Jeep Liberty.
We were traveling unfortunately and did not get a chance to meet nextdoor. They were very clear in their request and communication are are always welcome back.
Just wish we could have visited a little bit more let me next time you'll have to plan to stay a little bit longer and I'll be out New Hampshire way in October again so maybe I'll work you into my plans stay safe safe travels
We enjoyed visiting, dinner, and s’mores over the camp fire. Made the most out of “social distancing 😎 looking forward to connecting again.
What a fun couple to have hosted. sure wish they could have stayed longer and I hope our paths do cross again. I will start working on a plan to visit their boondocking location the next time I'm in New Hampshire
They are very friendly and helpful. We had just bought our RV so we were learning the tricks to living in the camper and they were very helpful with the process.
As soon as I arrived, Bev and Axel directed me to my spot next to the electricity and water hookups, then invited me over for dinner and drinks. It was such a great stay, close to Nashua, Haverhill, Manchester, etc. also only a 20ish minute drive to Portsmouth NH! There was a high speed train but it didn’t come by too often and when it did, it was gone in a quick second, so I didn’t mind!
They were very hospitalable. We had a nice visit and enjoyed the trains going by.
Wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful folks. Our camping family has grown again. Great place to stay. Off the beaten path and close to everything. Hope we get to meet up in Quartzite this winter!
Next Door’s host location was a very nice stay. Close to the shoreline and easy to get to and around from. Hosts were so friendly and generous. We shared good conversations and travel stories. We would definitely stay again.
Full service hosts who are absolutely the friendliest! They even offer electric, water and even an extension available to dump B&G tanks!
Very peaceful except for the occasional train, but not a negative for us. Easy access and turning room for the RV. We were able to go to nearby Salem, NH and get laundry done, propane filled, gas tank topped and shopping completed. All very convenient.
They were wonderful hosts. Welcomed us and assisted us with hook ups. Even their cat Bitsy came over and provided some social interaction.... Well we did have some cat snacks.
We will definitely consider staying here again. Great advice for new cross country travelers like us.
Bob & Terri
Nextdoor hosts were overthetop kind! Response time was immediate, guided positioning of our rig was helpful, local referrals for fun were memorable and beneficial, real time conversation was genuine with common interests to share. We are especially grateful for the generosity of our hosts and we're hopeful that our paths will cross in the northwest!
These people are so sweet and amazing can not wait to meet up with them next year in Arazona. :)
We spent 2 nights with them and had a wonderful stay. We didn’t spend too much time as we needed to go to our nearby home to take care of construction issues. But it was very helpful to have a nearby host. Very friendly, kind hosts! Loved hearing the trains and they weren’t bothersome at all.
We didn’t get to spend much time with our hosts but were very friendly and allowed us to use their water and also their RV dump which was handy.
Train noise isn’t a problem and quite interesting to watch them go by. The don’t run too early or too late.
If in the area we would use them again
Warm, welcoming, and gracious! The hosts were fantastic and made us feel like family. We can't say enough good things about them! Looking forward to seeing them again, down the road.
The hosts are so genuinely kind and helpful! Such an extra bonus to have electricity, water, and be able to dump! The location is in a cute neighborhood easy to get to Portsmouth. We enjoyed a lovely evening by the fire chatting :) We would love to stay again, and hope our paths cross on our travels again. The train is very close, but they are quick so it’s kind of fun!
We were originally planning to stay for 4 days before we continued on our journey until I mentioned we need new tires on our truck. Our host suggested some local shops we may want to consider. They welcomed us to stay a few extra days to get the work done.
This was our first stay with a BW host. I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and made us feel very much at home. If you are in the area, we would highly recommend scheduling a stay with them.
We loved staying here! The neighborhood was cute and mostly quiet except for the occasional train passing by, and we were close to a train station that took us to Boston to explore. We were gone most of the time but had a chance to talk Bev a little, she is so nice and welcoming! We will definitely stay again if we are in the area again. They also provided water, power, and a RV dump for us.
Electric water and dump were provided. Hosts were awesome.
Bev & Axel are awesome people!! From the moment we arrived until our departure, they made us feel like family. Bev & I are both pyromaniacs while Roger & Axel could be brothers. We loved the trains and looked forward to their passage. Our paths will definitely cross again. Thank you for extending your hospitality.
Great stay and enjoyable cocktail hour. Hope to meet again.
We had such a great time here! Nextdoor hosts are the best of the best of hosts. We felt very welcome. Genuinely kind people and would return again if in the area. Nothing but great places to say.
While I haven’t had a chance to visit much yet, the hosts are warm, welcoming & very accommodating. We appreciate everything!!
The Nextdoor location was very welcoming and hospitable. Our dogs were free to go off leash if we wanted and there is a trail to walk them in the back of the property. They provided water, electric, and dump. We really appreciated the length of stay, we used it to do some site seeing. There are trains, but they don't run at night or that often during the day.
We were a little nervous about the proximity to the railroad tracks - but we actually enjoyed it very much! The train was minimally disruptive, and did not disrupt our sleep at all. The kids loved watching the trains throughout the day as well. I love that the parking spot was on a dead-end road that's not frequently traveled, so the kids could play outside without a lot of traffic coming by. We loved joining the hosts and another guest for a campfire our first night, and during the stay we visited boston, salem, and portland - all within 60-90 minutes (which for us is a reasonable day trip distance!). We had a great time, and loved meeting the hosts!!
They had the hookup! Great piece of property and super nice folks!
Our stay at Nextdoor was just one night. The area is pretty remote and very industrial feeling but the kindness and generosity of the hosts were over the top! Offering services above many campgrounds we’ve stayed at and offers of any assistance needed, you won’t find yourself lacking here. Despite our overnight stay we will look forward to our paths crossing again one day!
The hosts were not in town when we were, but were so easy to communicate with, and so generous with their hookup access! We love trains so being close to the rail and getting to see them go by was a highlight for us =) we would love to come back! Thank you for everything!
Sorry our hosts were traveling, so we didn’t get to meet them. The spot is very close to train tracks, but they didn’t come often or last long. We spent a rainy morning in a sweet little library nearby.
I had an excellent time with these two. They are the kind of people that become life long friends. Very friendly and fun to hang out with! Good food. Good conversation. And they both bend over backwards to make sure your stay is nice. Mine was! I would definitely stay here again. As a matter of fact, I hope to run into them on the road sometime. That would be awesome. I definitely recommend this place for any length of stay. Thank you Guys. Will see you again sometime. :D
Super friendly and easygoing hosts who know the area well and are very comfortable and knowledgeable about RV life. We spent most of our time in Boston and really appreciated being able to catch the train nearby-- weekender pass for $10 means we could ride in and out as much as we wanted for the two days.
Many thanks to Bev and Axel for our stay. We felt safe and comfortable there, a plus with a family and not so sure sometimes on the road. Very thoughtful and accommodating hosts. Excellent and easy location. Thanks again, hope to see you soon!
These hosts were so kind and helpful, just a pleasure to get to know. We were in a good location to tour historic towns and see the sites. Enjoyed so much!
We loved being with these folks. So much to do in the area so we explored different areas each day. We hope to make it back one day.
We cannot say enough great things about our stay here with nextdoor. They are the most gracious hosts and an absolute joy to be around. They were there to greet us when we arrived, assisted in backing our rig into its parking spot, extremely welcoming and attentive to everything we could possibly need during our stay. They are beyond knowledgable of the entire area which helped us get around to all the things we needed to do and see while we were there. We highly recommend reaching out for a stay!
Stayed again on the way back from Maine. Having a/c was great during the heat. Great folks. Hope to see them again soon.
Only stayed one night but it’s a good level spot with water, electric, and a place to dump. Trains go by very close to the spot but didn’t bother me at all.
The hosts are friendly and helpful.
Wow! What fantastic hosts! From the moment I arrived I felt totally welcome and comfortable. We shared at great night together with another boondocker. I wish I would have planned to stay longer. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be calling them! Thank you!!
Great hosts! I was nervous about the trains but found them very interesting after awhile. Most were short in duration offering little distraction. These guys have a great setup going! Water, electric and dumping. And a great sense of humor that made you feel like you had known them for years!
Such sweet friendly people! We ended up just staying one night on our way through town, but it was a simple and pleasant experience! Hope to see you along your travels! :)
Had a great stay with nextdoor. Loved happy hour & met some really nice people there. Great pizza across the road & a convenient spot to explore the area. Will definately be back!
The Hosts were kind and helpful beyond our hopes. Our first night, the Hosts sat outside with us and visited over an Adult Beverage. They happily allowed us to stay an additional day. They even allowed us to use their Utilities. There's a small store, Post Office and Restaurant less than a block away.
Great first experience with vast knowledge of the RV life. Made to feel very welcomed and could ask anything. Great location and the trains made it better.
Thank you for all you shared.
Next door were very gracious and welcoming hosts from the time we arrived, until we left. Assisting in getting us settled in, and offering any assistance they could provide, made us feel right at home. The host site was very level, quiet (with exception of occasional train runs), convenient to small store and local great pizza. We appreciate their hospitality, and hope to meet up with nextdoor again to share more stories.
Coming from a boating community background, Boondockers Welcome is the community for RVers. Our hosts, Nextdoor, are true Ambassadors for the Boondocking community. The site location is in a small picturesque town but centrally located. B & A made us feel right at home. We shared lots of stories and laughs. Met very nice friends and family of the Host, looking forward to seeing them again where we are from in SW Florida.
Loved meeting Nextdoor, they were both so kind. Had a great time in Portsmouth from their location!
We travel on in our RV for business. We are professional Crafters. Sometimes we do well and sometimes not so much. So traveling through Boondockers helps keep our overhead low. We arrived Friday evening and the owners of the property were gracious enough to allow us to park there, when they weren't home. They gave us very accurate directions. The allowed power and water hook-up. We did see them just prior to heading to bed. Very inviting and sincerely in tune with our needs. We had to be on the road the following morning at 5am for one of our shows, we got back later that evening absolutely wiped out. They were gracious enough to welcome us back to the evening but also gave us the space for a nice quiet night. The following morning, they greeted us again very concerned about how our show went and it's just nice to know that there are good people out there who are willing to share their property with others with no motivation for personal gain other than wanting to bless someone else. Couldn't be happier meeting our new friends. Thanks again!!
Nextdoor were great hosts, fitting us in along with 2 other rigs. Warm and welcoming they made us feel at home. They have a very large property, with plenty of room for all.
If you like trains this is the place, the Downeaster flys by at over 60 with the freight trains more sedately. They stop running for most of the night so sleeping is no problem.
B & A give us great ideas and directions to briefly experience the region. It is almost overwhelming trying to see and visit all the local historical towns and beach communities in a short visit. We enjoyed our daily happy hour, potluck and dinner together with our new long term friends. We hope to meet up on the west coast in the future.
This was our first time using Boondockers Welcome and these Hosts made it a great experience. They were very welcoming of our family and had good insight into the area and what there is to do. We would not hesitate at all to stay with them again!
Gwen and Axel let us park at their place over Memorial Day weekend. They have a great space! We can’t wait to return the favor.
What was the best part of staying here?
Was it the close proximity to Gloucester, Salem, or the train to Boston? Was it having full hookups or being able to stay twice as long as we planned? There is all that but the best part was our hosts, Bev and Axel. They are most kind and generous people we have the good fortunate to meet not only on the road but in our life. We have made lifelong friends and will be travel companions. We shared numerous dinners. Happy hours and extensive conversations with them and their family.
If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stay with them. You won't regret it.
See you soon Bev & Axel😁
Nextdoor’s host location is easy to get into and very well positioned for visiting the city of Boston and the Massachusetts coast. A post office, convenience store and pizza joint are a short walk away. Any other services are less than 5 minutes away.
Our hosts were welcoming and made us feel right at home, made sure we had anything we needed including electric, water and a sewer dump. They were a wealth of knowledge both on the local area and just about any where else.
We really enjoyed the afternoon get togethers.
We very highly recommend these hosts and this location.
Will request again when in the area.
Location was very quiet and host was very welcoming. Although they could not be here with us, they did meet us upon arrival to make sure that we were in the correct location with everything we needed. They also saw us off and invited us back if we ever were in the area again. We will definitely keep them in our contacts. They were both very nice and helpful!
B & A are two of the nicest people. They were both so generous and helped us with set-up, hookup and dumping. Being a relatively new RVer their support was extra meaningful.
Loved hearing their stories too.
Bev and Axel where such kind people! We loved staying on their property. They were so nice to our kids. Our kids loved them, their cat, Bitsy, and the chocolate bar that axel gave our daughter. (:
The location was great, close to lots of restaurants and apple orchards. The train into Boston is a must do.
We would love to come back one day.
Thank you Bev and Axel!
We enjoyed our stay with nextdoor so much! Our hosts were so hospitable, and made sure we were all set up when we arrived. We enjoyed getting to know them, and hear their travel stories. Very nice people in a beautiful part of the country. We look forward to when we can stay again!
We were immediately greeted upon arrival by this super friendly couple and felt right at home. The parking was level and long enough for our 65 ft of motorhome and cargo trailer without unhooking. We really enjoyed our visit and are so happy to have met these fellow rv’ers. Can’t wait to meet them on the road some day! :)
Bev and Axel were amazing hosts who provided a spacious peaceful place to stay for 5 nights. They are a sweet couple who are very helpful and knowledgeable.
We really enjoyed having meals with them and meeting their family.
We had great conversations and got some helpful tips for our travels.
We look forward to meeting up with them on our way back down from Maine in a few weeks!
We had such a lovely stay.... The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely a place to re-visit if the opportunity arises. Thank you so much!
This was our first boondockers welcome stay, and we had the best time. Spot was great; large, level, and grassy. But the hosts were better! They invited us to cookout, we had an awesome time with their friends and family. Hope to meet up with them again in our travels. Great to have new friends!
Wehad a good stay and this location.
The host was friendly and we would definitely like to come back if in the area.
We really enjoyed our stayover here. There was a passing train from time to time, but otherwise it was a quiet small town. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and our parking spot level and grassy. We would be happy to return whenever we're in the area.
We stayed with these great folks for 3 nights. They were so friendly and helpful, and very interesting to talk to. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked because we were out exploring the area during the day. Their place is convenient to a lot of great destinations like Boston, Gloucester, Rockport, Salem, etc. There is a railroad track very nearby, but it wasn't a problem at all for us. Great boondocking spot!
We had a great time, these are very friendly and helpful people. It was our first time boondocking, so we weren’t sure what to expect. They responded very quickly too, so it was easy to arrange things. Thanks again, guys!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - don't let the train tracks keep you away! Warm and welcoming hosts, we enjoyed spending time with them and were invited to their son's home for a cookout! Trains were infrequent during our stay, and when they weren't coming through it was a very quiet area and completely safe. Nice level and hard-packed site. Our 38,000 lb coach didn't sink in at all, even in rainy conditions. In our 40 foot MH we encountered a few branches on the approach road and it's a narrow rural road but doable if you go slow. Walmart/fuel/groceries were less than 15 minutes away. We would stay here again if we were in the area. Host is very knowledgeable about plumbing, electrical, and all things RV and may be able to give you tips if you're interested.
what a beautiful, interesting and exciting place!
the cat, the son's dog, the hosts and all the people around are all very friendly, peaceful, helpful and know a lot of interesting and exciting to tell.
my parking space was next to a huge, old and beautiful maple tree, 20 steps away is a superstore, a post office and a pizzeria.
i don't want to tell you too much, you have to have this unique experience to stay here.
so let's go to the host "nextdoor" !
i'm already planning to come back here in a year, i just hope the hosts will be there again.
thank you very much for the very nice and cordial stay with you.

We found the location easily and our hosts were there to meet us and welcome us warmly - even though they had leased this house and were moving everything out to live in their RV. It was quiet and peaceful. Hope the spot will be available in the future.
very friendly, great hosts we had the pleasure of sitting with them and sharing a meal talking about travels and their new adventures. hope to cross paths with them again. would highly recommend.
We arrived late, but the spot was well marked and easy to find with more than enough room for our 24ft rig. We had a nice breakfast with our hostess and her sister the following morning. We would love to run into them again!
We recently stayed with NextDoor as our first Boondockers Welcome try. This couple received us like part of the family. we joined them for a great 4th of july celebration with family, friends and neighbors. We always felt welcome and the site was great. We were far enough from the house that we could run our generator without them even hearing it. 20 min from the beach and a nice little town. We hope to see them again someday to hear how their plans work out. Thanks again.
