Le voyage nous permet de voir de beaux paysages et de faire des découvertes. Au long de la route nous visitons les boutiques d'antiquité en quête de trésors. Nos arrêts sont aussi ponctués de chasse Géocaching, de visite du terroir et de vélo.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Nous avons fait l'élevage de Setter Gordon pendant 25 ans. Nous avons voyagé pour faire de la compétition de conformation et d'obéissance. Aujourd'hui c'est la découverte qui guide notre route.

Like a Park

We had a wonderful stay. Catalina, the host was more than welcoming and gave us lots of information to aid us in our trip. Their property is beautiful.

Peaceful Night

Catalina was as peaceful and relaxing an evening as one could imagine. We were far enough away from the highway that we heard no traffic noise at all. We were promptly greeted when we arrived and shown a beautiful grass covered back yard, surrounded with trees. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality Catalina. Au revoir!

Return from Prince Edward Island

We had another great stay at Catalina on our return trip from PEI. They are great hosts and it is a convenient location to Autoroute 20.

A restful night

Very gracious hosts. With snow still covering large parts of the area, they helped us get our rv parked in a good location. They even brought out a table and chairs so we could sit outside and enjoy our first sunshine in several days. Very convenient location to the trans- can. We would stay here again.

Second time around

Our second time staying at this location was as good as our first, though different. After meeting M. Catalina upon our arrival, we discussed the approach to a suitable site for our rig. To his surprise we made an easy 180 degree turn around a bush and voila we were set on level ground facing the road. When I set out the 2 sets of solar panels I found 1 was not sending power to the trailer. That started a 2 hour search and repair odysee through supposedly simple wiring panel-to-trailer. SO, no time for relaxed conversation this year such as we had enjoyed with Madam Catalina in 2017. In the morning the family had left early on personal business, and we were unable to thank them directly The Catalinas are quietly hospitable while respecting their guest's privacy. We appreciate that. As we travel annually through this area to/from PEI, we will seek their permission again in the future to stay overnight with them.

In and Out

Met Mr. Catalina upon arrival and we agreed upon a parking sight that was arrived at by a large loop and left us facing the road: easy. Trailer was found to be sitting level, needing only lowered stabilizers. Set out solar panels and spent next couple hours seeking failure in one of them and eventually repairing it twice to have it contributing. Sunset negated that effort so in to eat and sleep. next am prepped to leave but family not home as we did. Our second time ear to stop and due to annual trip to PEI, not our last we hope.

Hôtes accueillants et emplacement bien situé / Welcoming hosts and convenient location

We stayed one night at Catalina’s. Our hosts had given us clear directions to easily find their property which is conveniently located near the highway. At our arrival, they greeted us warmly and we had a nice chat with them. We were parked in their backyard on the grass. Despite the highway’s proximity, we had a good night’s sleep and were well rested to hit the road the next morning. We would not hesitate to go back to Catalina’s. Thanks to our hosts!

This is why we boondock in Quebec

Our facility with French is based on our 1960s high-school classes. Fifty years of non-use leave it shamefully inadequate. 'Catalina' bore with us, and with her better-than-basic English and translation app, we got along famously in our mixed language discussion about boondocking experiences and places. 'Catalina' offered us a drive-in and turn around area that allowed us to do all our manoeuvring away from traffic. The grassy site was firm and level. To leave we simply drove forward on to their drive and then the road. We were surprised to find ourselves on the same road passing the entrance to a campground where we had been staying twice a year since 2015; no more! Afraid of the language barrier when in Quebec? Don't be; there isn't one.

Very Conveniant Locations

Wonderful quiet location only moments from highway 20. Our host could not be there to greet us but went out of the way to have a friend receive us.

Restful night

We stayed on their property and enjoyed the reprieve from the highway traffic and noise. It was enjoyable despite the heavy downpour. Very considerate of our needs and he informed us of another site to stay at. Also lovely for us.

Amazing host!

Our host went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We (our error) had a hard time finding his place right away and he drove down the road to meet us and bring us into his property. He also helped us once there and then he went one step further and lead us to the ferry, so we could celebrate Canada Day in Quebec City. We sincerely appreciate everything he did. We highly recommend this host and property. Merci beaucoup!!
