I am a recently retired woman that owns a 2014 25ft Thor Freedom Elite. I have camped all of my life in a tent. Back in 1989, I took my two children on a 6-week camping excursion doing a National Park loop out west. Kids are grown now and doing their own thing...time for me to do mine. My last camping trip was all rain for two weeks and that's when I became committed to purchasing an RV. I had a pretty good plan laid out for the last few years of working but General Electric decided that I should retire a few years early. I was one of those hit by their famous "reduction in workforce" activities.
So...I bought the new-to-me RV Thanksgiving of 2015. I have not had the opportunity to take her out yet. When I do, this first year will be limited to Wisconsin travel (my home state) as I become familiar with Buckett (yep...that's her name!). Next year will involve the Northwest and up into Canada, eventually heading East, making my way down through the Canadian Rockies. I have booked a caravan tour to Alaska for 2018. If I make it to 2019, I want to head for the other coast. I haven't spent anytime there and there is much to see.
I have always had wanderlust and I look forward to these adventures...and meeting many new friends along the way.
Project Management, computer knowledge (do not claim to be a wizard though).
I haven't experienced any as yet.
Grew up in Racine, Wisconsin. Lived in Stillwater, OK for a few years as well as Loveland, CO. Back to Wisconsin where I have lived in Milwaukee, Waukesha and currently in the Madison area...as I mentioned above...I have wanderlust.
