We've been married 49 years and have moved at least 18 times. We started out in Indiana but have lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona; northern Virginia - outside of DC; several areas in Pennsylvania, Connecticut; North Carolina; and now in Houston, Texas. We'd like to relocate again where we have a little space and could possibly host boondockers.
Rich was a project manager in construction so we followed where the work was. Our daughter started her third year of high school in her third state. Our son, two years younger, fared a little better.
Rich is a former Marine and I have gotten interested in genealogy and recently became a member of the NSDAR.
We have 5 grandchildren - 13 years down to 5 years.
We just made our first trip in the [email protected] to Phoenix, AZ, going on to visit Lake Havasu City, AZ. We came home through NM and saw the Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands Natl Mon and Guadalupe Mtns. We met some really nice people and are looking forward to more trips.
As first-time campers, we're not used to planning our trips and making reservations early so we need to change our mentality for that! We stayed in two Walmart lots on the way home, our first taste of 'boondocking'.
The only other club we have joined so far is Passport America.
Rich is very handy and there is not much he can't repair or replace. I'm very good as a go-fer and holding a light!
Just starting camping.
Currently living in Houston, Texas although we've lived in many states.
