Hi! I'm Karen, 50+ years old, responsible human being who loves my pickup camper! I'm a mental health counselor working with the military,Taos, NM, Army Special Forces widow. In my off time, I love to get out in my camper. I travel with my dogs (kids), so I'm always looking for pet-friendly locations (and provide a pet-friendly location if you come to my home) - they're very well behaved and I'm a conscientious pet owner. I am outdoors as much as possible, Snowboarding, rafting, backpacking, hiking etc. I'm a world traveler, and enjoy 3rd world travel. I'm a highly ethical professional that values integrity. I can't wait to meet some folks who are 'like me!'
I'm a counselor - not that I want to do that on my down time! I'm also a wilderness professional with plenty of backcountry experience. River guide, too. I'm no whiz mechanically, but I can sew and near anything...
I like to be off the beaten path - the farther out, the better!
I have a Lance 811 Truck Camper with a full side slide on the driver's side. It sits on a big ole' Dodge RAM 2500 truck. Its a tall rig, for sure!
We have enjoyed the hospitality of the host. By Sun's coming to Sun's demise is the beautiful there. We have enjoyed each other's travel stories, many exchanged and we are left with a lot of interesting Apps. It was wonderful to be in this place. Host, thanks and good luck with your work and study. Dear greetings Robert and Nelleke
Our stay at BigGirlRig's place was quite peaceful and just what we needed after a long dry camping experience in southern New Mexico. She has a beautiful property with 3 friendly dogs. Karen know a lot about the area, and if you need a suggestion or two of what to do in the area, she'll be able to help. Thank you for your generosity and time! Maybe we'll see you around the bend ;)
Big Girl Rig was very gracious & we had a lovely conversation. She gave me a lot of travelling advice & her dogs are so sweet!
We had a great overnight here under the starry NM sky. The hostess is warm, welcoming, and very accommodating.
Thanks for a great stay!!
We had the nicest stay in Taos because of this host! She was welcoming, helpful, great with our kids, and oh so cool! She recommended a delicious place for lunch and gave us plenty of information about the surrounding areas. Heck, we even let her plan our roadtrip for us! (So far, so good!) Her dogs are super sweet. The view is to die for. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer. Thoroughly recommend!
Had a great time touring the area around Taos for a couple of days when we parked at our host's home. The view of the valley was wonderful. Thanks!
