My wife and I own a 2019 Lance 1575 lightweight trailer. Our tow vehicle is a 2018 GMC Canyon mid-size pickup with the 2.8 Duramax diesel. It's a terrific, lightweight, nimble, and easy-to-tow package.
We're always looking forward to traveling. We love camping and exploring new places, especially in the Southwest. We're also very avid hikers. For some folks it's golfing, rock-hounding, birding, fishing, or 4-wheeling. Our passion is hiking new trails.
My wife and I raise a large garden and are more than happy to share our in-season, fresh produce with you. In the spring we have lettuce, broccoli, peas, radishes, carrots, cabbage, etc. If you're here during the four week span of later June to mid-July, you'll be able to pick ripe raspberries. From mid-August or later you'll be able to enjoy our vine-ripened tomatoes.
I'm fairly good at fixing most anything. If you are full-timing or just need some help along the road, I'll do my best to assist you. I have a shop vac and cleaning supplies if you would like to do some housekeeping.
If you have questions about your Medicare supplement, Medicare advantage, or Part D prescription plans, I may be able to assist you, as I offer these plans for my clients.
The American Southwest and any other interesting places in the West. It's higher elevations when it starts getting hot. We also find the Basin ranges of Nevada an area of much intrigue.
We took delivery of our lightweight, 2019 Lance 1575 trailer in June 2018. We have modded and equipped it to maximize its dry camping capabilities. We have installed a Nature's Head composting toilet. We love it. No black tank to dump and no dump stations to locate! This also saves on water usage when camping in dry, remote places. We'd love to hear from others that have taken this step and how it's worked out for you. We have also completed our lithium (LiFePO4) battery install. Compared to having two, 100 amp hour AGM batteries, this has shaved off about 110 pounds of battery weight. In addition, we have installed a Victron inverter (120 VAC) and a Victron BMV 712 battery monitoring system. With a factory-installed 170 watt solar panel on the roof and a 100 watt portable panel, we are able to generate all of our power needs. We completed a six week winter trip in early 2020 and never needed to run the Honda generator that we brought along as a back up. If we were to camp in hot weather, we would need the generator to run the A/C, however we prefer not to camp in places where the weather is hot. We have made other mods such as adding factory-quality shelving in the closet and the small cupboards in the slide. DW has made custom blackout covers for all vents and skylights. Now we can stay dark inside even under the brightest of Walmart parking lot lights. The Lance 1575 is a 20 foot long trailer which includes about four feet of tongue length. Our tow vehicle is a 2018 GMC Canyon mid-sized pickup with the 2.8 Duramax diesel. We're super happy with our setup.
Couple was very nice and they showed me around their trailer and learned various things. We would invite them to stay anytime.
The couple was in a bind and we were glad to help out as we could. They were so nice as to show me around in the camper pointing out and explaining the modifications made. Very interesting and something to put away in my brain for our camping.
Very nice quiet, but friendly couple, would host again.
We enjoyed this visit. Got a great education on composting toilets, which we are interested in installing. These are very self contained RVers, and are welcome back anytime.
We had a wonderful stay with Lancer. The hosts were very helpful with directions and helping us get settled. They shared breakfast with us and we left with some yummy vegetables from their garden. Very gracious hosts.
We certainly enjoyed our stay here! In fact we were invited to stay a second night which we gladly accepted! lancer and his family were very welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended!
What gracious host! Sharing of the garden and their beautiful flowers to enjoy. Also very helpful with local information. Thanks so much. We enjoyed meeting you. Blessings
Our host was in touch with us several days ahead of our arrival and provided very detailed directions. The parking spot was a little tight but he repositioned his vehicles and that left us enough room. We had a nice conversation with him in the evening while still social distancing. Appreciated the electric hook up Which allowed us to run our a/c especially since it was a very hot day.
Wonderful friendly host. Helped direct me park. Had blocks ready to level up my camper. Great direction to find and park. Plenty of room. They even invited me to eat with them. Very friendly people.
Enjoyed the stay with our hosts so much that we returned to stay with them again four nights later. Thanks again!!! and catch you on the trail.
We over nighted in the driveway next to the house with facilities and access as host described.
Our hosts were generous of spirit, knowledge, friendship and resource. A fine and happy family.

We were very greatful for the kind hospitality ,after a short time felt like a part of the family.
Shared walkes, meals and talked during the 3 days.
Some electrical issues were taken care off,by the hosts son that saved us the trouble to go to a RV repair shop.
We were invited to pick from their vegetable garden, tomatoes, onions, herbs and berries.
Thank you very much for this great experiance.
It was a special experience to in Lewiston to this family.
Their way of life and taking care of their fruit and vegetable garden was beau-tiful.
Thanks for your hospitality and tasty breakfast. Robert and Nelleke of the Netherlands.
Very nice family! Great spot to stay in Lewiston, ID. Really enjoyed dinner and breakfast and talking with the whole family. I loved the hands on attention in helping me back my trailer in to the camper spot, and the garden tour was also amazing. They went above and beyond any expectation. Even called the local RV supplies store for me to find a door-open latch. Great people!!
We stayed with Lancer in early August, 2017 and had a great visit, in spite of the pervasive haze from forest fires. Good parking spot, easy to find. On the edge of town and close to services, but in a quiet area with some small farms/ranches. The outgoing hosts we're very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Be sure to get a tour of their awesome garden - impressive! We had the opportunity to join the family for meals and enjoyed interesting and wide-ranging discussions. We look forward to the possibility for a return visit, and highly recommend them as hosts if you are planning to be in their area.
We were planning a trip through Lewiston and made arrangements to stay with Lancer. However due to extreme forest fire activity in that part of Idaho, heavy smoke and road closures we were forced to change our plans. Our would be hosts went above and beyond to keep us informed of local conditions even getting up in the middle of the night to send us an update and were very helpful in adjusting our plans. We will be back to stay with Lance another day when the smoke is cleared and the fires settled.
God Bless and stay safe
Very courteous host.
Helped me to find what I needed in town, and had a pleasant nights rest.
