We are retired, over 65, on our first cross country trip. Jon is a retired state trooper and Marian is a retired teacher. Jon enjoys playing Celtic and Bluegrass music and is always up for a jam with his harmonica, dobro, or banjo. He also enjoys woodworking, and is involved in the VFW and American Legion, as a Vietnam vet. Marian likes to read, cook, sew, and is a history buff, and is plannng the trip to visit many of the Civil War battlefields, and Andersonville, Georgia, where 3 of her ancestors are buried.
We enjoy spending time going on trips in Oregon with our 1931 Model A Ford with other antique car enthusiasts. In our younger years our favorite pastime was riding the high Cascades on horseback with longtime friends. We have two daughters, one a teacher, and one in real estate, and one grandson.
