We are testing the waters to see if RV travel is right for our retirement years. Typical RV parks hold no appeal, so we are happy to find boondockerswelcome. For the next few years we will enjoy limited summer travels visiting family and friends. Tim is now self employed after 30 years in trucking. My PR job in high school career and technical education keeps me jumping during the school year.
Learning everyday. Tim is a hot shot driver and retired semi driver. He talks in mile markers, and has millions of miles if hwy experience. While we are new to travel trailers, he knows trailer maintenance.
Kate has spent the last 26 years working in education marketing and public relations. Not sure if those skills transfer, but you never know.
We have a three-year old German Shepard/Standard Poodle mix. Skylar is sweet and still thinks she is a pup, but she doesn’t like to travel.
We once rented a truck camper in Alaska and spent several nights in Denali National Park. Amazing!
We pull a 28ft 1986 Alpenlite 5th wheel painted cream and black. It has a utility look with diamond plate and a lift. We hope to be off grid and ready to explore the back roads of America. We drive a 2012 Ford F250. All in all it is - good enough.
