Stayed here just after Christmas and although Cory wasn't home he arranged with his housesitter for our visit. What a terrific location. Nice level driveway and a view from the back deck to die for. Path leads to a little offshore island with a dock to sit and watch the sunset and the boat traffic. Sorry we missed you Cory and thanks for checking in afterwards.
This was our first time boondocking at someone's property. Our host was extremely accommodating and allowed us to enter his property via a vacant lot which made set up much easier. He is located on the Inter Coastal Waterway and we had a gorgeous view of boats traveling along the waterway. We had access to his dock and were allowed to relax on his upper deck to watch a gorgeous moon rise. Our host had a dinner engagement and couldn't spend much time with us in the evening; but, he did give us great ideas for a place to eat and what to see in the area. The next morning, we had coffee together and shared stories of camping and boondocking. He was a delightful host and we would recommend him to anyone passing through coastal North Carolina. If you have a chance to have him as a guest, please do. One of his daughters lives close to us and we have invited him to visit us when he is in our neck of the woods. I can say that our first guest experience with Boondockers Welcome exceeded our expectations and we will be avid members.
What a great location and host. Even with the tropical storm my family and a lot of fun. The accommodations and host were by far the best. Thanks for allowing my family to build lifetime memories. Chris
Just got home from staying a couple days at his property. He didn't see much of me because I spent the days at the close-by public beach access. We did catch up with each other every morning and I have to say he's a terrific host. You really couldn't find a nicer guy. Beautiful area and his property is level, in a quiet neighborhood and he even has a dump station! I could have hooked up to water, but had plenty onboard so I only used the 30amp. I can not only recommend his site, but recommend him as well if he comes your way. You'll end up with a new friend.
Hi, myself and 3 old dogs stayed with Cory on are way home. Beautiful location, easy to find, great host.Fixed a few things for me,but couldn't help with the fear of those con island bridge's. Wow! Simply beautiful! Cory is a wonderful host, welcoming us as if we were old friends. He made certain that all our needs were met. Regretfully, we arrived late and missed out on his tour offer, but enjoyed Cory's hospitality for a relaxing evening watching a ball game. New to RVing, we took advantage of Cory's experience... I took notes :-) and wonderful conversation. Thank you so much! We hope to be able to return the favor some day.
This was the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of interstate highways. Cory was a great host who went out of his way to make me feel welcome and introduce me to the sights this area has to offer. The sunrises and sunsets were wonderful and it was just a short drive to a wonderful sandy beach. i hope to be able to return the hospitality some day... gandrew
