We are picking up a new 27 ft. Coach House class b+ at the factory in Nokomis Fl. the morning of Feb. 25, 2019. We were hoping to spend several days with y'all to try out our new rig. We are supposed to be back at the factory in Nokomis for a 4 day rally starting March 1st. I've hosted 4 different campers in the last few months but this is my first attempt to use 'boondockers" myself . Thanks. Mike
It was our pleasure to host Mikego and their polite and well mannered canine sidekick. Mikego was excellent on keeping us updated on their ETA. Evenings together around there campfire were most enjoyable.
They are certainly welcome back here any time. Our hope is that our paths will cross again someday soon.
The visit with Mikego was wonderful, totally enjoyed my time with them, the exchange of information, and story sharing. Come back again
Mikego etc were wonderful guest; lots of sitting o the deck visiting. Looking forward to their return.
A super friendly couple with a sweet dog, we loved having them stay with us. They were very generous and fun to chat with, even gave our girls a few candy bars that had carried all the way from New Foundland. :-) Would happily host them again anytime!
Mikego and guest were enjoyable, chatty, fully of experiences to share of their journeys. We exchanged travel stories, life lessons, future travel plans. Would so love to have them visit again; and plan to visit them on my next trip in their direction.
Mikego and all were excellent guests. We communicated well before arrival, and they settled in well before dark.
What a fantastic rig!
We wish them well on their adventure to the west coast.
We highly reccomend Mikego, and welcome them back to Basecamp RCB anytime.
We had a wonderful time at The More the Merrier. The hosts were wonderful and the area is super cute! They had great communication, fascinating traveling stories, and some of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet. No matter if you are just passing through or staying quite a few days, this is the boondocking spot for you!!!
We cannot thank Mike and his girlfriend enough for a fun and memorable Alabama boondocking experience! They were so gracious to give us a shaded spot with water and 50amp as well as give our pups some treats. They were a lot of fun and had some great stories. We recommend the Sway Bridge Trail for hiking. Hope to return some day:)
This was my first Boondockers Welcome experience, and it could not have been better. My host greeted me when I arrived and put me up under his RV shelter. The setting is peaceful and overlooking a pond. He could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Site is easy to access, and flat.
The hosts here are sooooo much fun, and such great people! They let me stay longer than planned, and I am so thankful that they did because I had been so busy with work that I hadn't had time to plan my next stay before it was time to leave.
There is a nice hiking area nearby, which I was able to get out for a bit and enjoy. It was maybe about a 40-minute drive (if I recall correctly) from Montgomery, and I made the drive and got to see the city one evening.
These hosts, again, are such fun and generous people, and I loved getting to talk with them every day. It really was such a great stay along travels, and so glad I was able to meet them ♡
Best wishes to the coolest Alabama couple ever! 😊😊😊 Thank you again for everything!
Made me feel very welcome & safe. Mike & Pat are the best! Really liked my dog too!
This property has plenty of space for all size rigs, in a country setting, with cute friendly dogs, we felt very safe. Host is very knowledgeable about RV’ing as well as helpful and accommodating. A must stop is the Hog Rock Bar-B-Q. Thanks so much for your hospitality.
This very peaceful and private location provided a great stop over spot after a long day of driving. Rural setting, easy in/out, parked in grassy field, hook-ups available if needed. Hosts are super friendly and really enjoy engaging with their guests. They have lots of travel stories and knowledge share. We so appreciate their generosity!
Mikego is a very funny guy. Really enjoyed the conversation after we got there. Level pull thru, didn’t need to unhitch. They did caution us that their dogs might find things to bark at during the night. I can confirm that they did.
We hope to run into them again down the road. Thanks for being a Boondockers Welcome host!
Situated in a quite rural neighborhood mikego’s boondocking location was an ideal spot for me to wait out a couple days on my way to an appointment further down the road. Very easy access into 2 different drives approaching the property from either direction. This host is a pleasure to talk with as well as fun and a great all around person. Hoping I’ll be able to host them up north at our location soon.
We enjoyed our one night stay at Mikego’s property. He graciously let us park in his covered RV spot just a stones throw from the pond. We enjoyed chatting with the owners, enjoyed a walk/run on the country roads, and even caught two fish in the pond. Their dogs were very friendly which our youngest daughter loved on, and our dog loved running freely on the property. Thanks for letting us stay a night during our spring break road trip!
Mikego is a very friendly nice host. Great paved parkup spot under metal roof. Fun talking with them and liked that my dog could be off leash and play in the field around the pond. No traffic country paved road. Thanks so much.
I am so glad that I chanced upon Mikego’s boondockers welcome place. It was so nice to be in the country and hear cows moo. Mike go was very welcoming and helped me sort out a few of my beginning RV problems. Both he and his girlfriend are just genuinely nice people. I even adopted a dog from the Humane Society and he was welcomed as well. I don’t know if I will be in the area again but I would love to stay again!
Mikego where great Host for our second stay at their The more the merrier boondocking location.
Lots of laughs and interesting discussion was had and if they'll accept another stay request we hope to be back.
Mikego’s place was absolutely perfect for me. He was great and I’d absolutely love to stay here again!
Host was amazing, had us parked under a roof, we got some repairs done, the kiddos played in the pond out back and in his dirt piles.
Mikego was a great source of info and fun to chat with, looking forward to staying again in the spring.
Enjoyed our stay with mikego. Breakfast at great local stop, history , culture and his travel experiences. Mikego is a great host, we look forward to seeing him again soon.
Super helpful and friendly! Loved our chats and visits :)
A wonderful place with Southern hospitality! Had water and electric hookup under roof out of the pouring rain on our arrival. Mike came out in the rain to guide us in to our spot. Went above and beyond.
We spent 2 nights at Mikego’s recently. It was the perfect stop for a day-trip to Montgomery on our route south. Mikego was the perfect host, providing us with water to fill our tank and 15 amp electric. It was a smooth, clear drive in and his property is very level. If we are ever in the area again, we’ll most certainly visit him again. A true gentleman!
Such a pleasure talking to Mike and Pat, hearing family stories and getting a personal tour of downtown. THANK YOU!
Very friendly and welcoming host, beautiful view. Thanks for your hospitality!
Although the epidemic has separated us, but your careful care, I can really feel it. Thank you very much for being able to help me in such a special period. I especially like your place. Everything is so beautiful. Hope for the future Day, you are happy every day. thank
Mike and Pat were great hosts. Mike loves to chat, but we kept our distance. I spilled some beets in my motorhome, all over 1 seat at my kitchen table. I quickly rushed it over to Pat, Who got it washed before it could stain.
Would highly recommend this as a layover. Great accommodations too.
Our hosts were extremely hospital and gracious. They invited us to come back any time and I know we most definitely will be back to see them when we head back south again. It was a gorgeous area and the children had so much fun!
What a nice welcoming. Mikego met us on our arrival and set us up in a wonder spot under a covered area with amenities where he normal parks his rig. We had a nice conversation with him in our RV. Very peiceful at night. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to say a personal good bye in the morning on behalf of our mistake on the date of our departure. We hope he will come visit us in Canada so we can reciprocate back to him with open arms.
Thank you so much for everything.
We came to Mikego on very short notice but he graciously and generously hosted us.
Very personable and friendly with lots of ideas and wisdom to share. Fun to visit with and enjoyed hearing of his life around this family farm he's been on most of his life.
Speaking of the farm this site was very peaceful and quiet and Level. In the hundred's of places we've parked this was the first that required NO leveling. If you like peace and quiet, you'll fall in love with Mikego's Boondockers Welcome place.
We hope to return when the opportunity presents itself.
The host was very amicable upon our arrival and spent a bit of time talking with us after we arrived. I'm almost certain we'd have been visiting this morning if he hadn't had to go to an early doctor's appointment.
The More The Merrier could not have been any more generous and kind! We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful location. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We really hope that we have an opportunity to see them again so that we can share more travel tales. Thank you again....take care and safe travels to you.
Mike was an awesome host, very friendly and accommodating. What a beautiful location, with solid spot to park and cover over the camper. Best to get advice from Mike on routing in.
We loved meeting Mikego. He is friendly and generous. We stayed under a roof and had water and electric. We really appreciated the roof because of all the rain. It’s a great location to visit Montgomery and Tuskegee.
We really enjoyed our visit to The More The Merrier We were having a great conversation and getting a tour of all the shops, vehicles and ponds when a thunderstorm opened up on us.
We’re going to have to come back so we can continue our tour and getting to know our really interesting and friendly hosts
Had THE best time with Mike and family. Shelter to park under, electric and water hookups gratefully excepted. Mike has many miles of RVing experience and gladfully answered my many questions. He took time to show me apps he uses when planning his excursions. Enjoyed coffee and seeing downtown where we went for dinner. Thank you, Mike and family!
Everything about our stay was awesome. Beautiful property. Doggies loved the pond and the spacious farm. Peaceful area for jogging and walking.
Hosts were amazing! So friendly and hospitable. Supplied water and electricity. Had us over for coffee a couple of times. We exchanged rving tips and apps, recipes. Had many great conversations. Really down to earth people. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to seeing them again! THANK YOU!
We stayed just overnight at Mikego's property. It was very open and easy to get to. This was our first experience boondocking and it was great.
Our stay with Mikego was really great. They went over and above to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We shared some local BBQ together and stories about the history of the area. Thankyou Mikego for giving us a chance to ride!
We had a super nice stay and enjoyed the hosts hospitality a lot. Lots of laughter and good discussions. In the morning, he took us to a breakfast place and gave us many helpful tips before we left.
We can only recommend this host and would come back at anytime if we happen to be in the area again.
We had a fantastic stay here, Mike is a super nice person. Upon arrival he greeted us and moved his motorhome out from under covered parking to allow us to park there. He showed us around his property. We talked and laughed about my rv misfortunes. Mike has a lot of knowledge about the area and drove us around the town of Wetumpka, showed us the damaged areas of town from a recent tornado( lost some history ), and took us to a bbq restaurant in town and had a great meal. The next morning he drove us to another place for breakfast. We truly enjoyed our stay with Mike and will definitely visit again. Thanks Mike!!!
We enjoyed our stay with Mike and Pat and were pleased with the recommendations they gave us about exploring the area. There were many parking options for our camper. We chose to park under a metal roof which came in handy during a very heavy rain storm during the night. The rain wasn't our only worry, as there were tornado warnings in the area too. When we heard the sirens going off, Mike came out and had us go into the house for safety precautions. Everything worked out fine and we enjoyed the extra conversation time we were able to have with Mike... a very enjoyable host!
Sent us to a property he had even though he wasn't home thanks a lot
We did not have the pleasure of meeting our host in person because he was busy with other commitments. We talked on the phone and he gave very good, explicit directions to the location. It was a perfect spot for us to come and go as we pleased so we could check out the area. Besides being so helpful and accommodating, Mike sounded like the kind of person that we would enjoy visiting with - Very friendly and interesting. Hopefully we’ll have another chance to catch up with him some day. Thanks, Mike!
This couple was so sweet! Allowing me to stay under a covered spot for two nights. Mike was also kind enough to help me with some problems with my rig. Fantastic hosts!
Mikego was there to show us the easy spot to get into. He made sure we had everything we needed while we were there and my kids had plenty of room to run around. We had a long conversations with the hosts and felt very welcomed. Would stay here again if in the area.
This was our first stay at a Boondockers Welcome site. Once our reservation was accepted, our host called and confirmed the stay and ensured we had the proper directions based on the size of our rig. We stayed at a flat, 3 acre piece of property off the highway. Directions were perfect! Once we were set up, our hosts (M and P) stopped by to chat and make sure we were settled.
That chat led to us going to dinner and taking a driving tour around the area. What an enjoyable first experience! We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. This was true southern hospitality that we hope leads to a lasting friendship. Perfect host!
We were made so very welcome by this very friendly couple and enjoyed our stay enormously, Hope to visit again some day. I believe anyone would have a great visit here,
Mike and family have much RVing experience and were patient, kind with great sense of humor answering all my questions. I was able to park where he usually keeps his RV under a shelter and was hooked to water and power. So appreciated his taking time to show me how he uses apps on computer to plan his trips when they are farther and longer. Hope to go back one day. Wonderful experience and found it difficult to leave! Thanks Mike!
Our Host was very gracious and understanding when we had to cancel our stay just prior to our arrival due to storm damage to our RV that had to be fixed. This delay in our travels meant we've had to travel farther distances than we like in order to make up for lost time. We do hope to be able to stay in the future with him.
