Hello, I am a 68 year old male, 6 feet tall, about 160 pounds with white hair, sometimes a short beard, and green eyes. I have been a business owner most of my life and my skill sets include management, design and fabrication of custom manufacturing machinery, and industrial maintenance. I am a skilled machinist and very experienced with three phase motor sizing and installation. I have a private shop with welding, machining, and woodworking capabilities.

My personal activities include playing classical guitar, sketching, reading, and creative writing. I also like to bicycle but at my age enjoy the help of a rear hub electric assist Aventon Pace 500. I have experience back packing in the NM wildernesses and always enjoy a soak in a natural hot spring. I'm fond of full moons and solar eclipses, don't much care for mosquitoes, and eat just about anything except peanut products.

Skills & Expertise to Share

I can fix or repair just about anything.

Kyther's Pets

I share custody of a beautiful pair of sisters, "Lily" and "Radar" who are from the same litter and are perfectly mannered, completely obedient, and thoroughly trained. They are 8 years old, weigh about 10 pounds each, and are a mix of chihuahua, pug and terrier and they both have stand-up ears. They are with me about 50% of the time and the only caution I would offer is that they are very capable of melting fellow dog lover's hearts.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

The Davis mountains of west Texas; a really handy campsite next to the golf course in Big Spring Texas (when traveling east); and Millers rest area 15 miles north of Tonopah Nevada (This is great stop when heading north from Las Vegas to Reno. Designated overnight camping area and no trucks allowed!)

Kyther's Hometown

I was born and raised in New Mexico. My childhood was spent in both the northern and southern parts of the state and I Know New Mexico and the desert southwest very well. Now days, I spend most of my time either in Las Cruces, New Mexico or on the coast of Oregon.

Great guests

Kyther and his partner arrived as scheduled and setup easily. They were very easy to talk to. We had a fun happy hour around the pool Friday evening. We invited them to stay a second day. We enjoyed their company and they are welcome back anytime.
