I am presently working on my RV (upgrading and remodeling) to prepare it for full-time use in a couple years. I hope to
work as a campground host, find part-time jobs, or do handyman work wherever I can find it. I am not using my rig right
now as it is a work-in-progress, but I wanted to join this site to learn from those of you who are doing what I will soon do.
Your experiences and tips can be invaluable to those of us who now can only envy your lifestyle. I also hope to make new
friends here in hopes we can some day meet on the road.
I have worked in building maintenance for many years and thus have picked up quite a bit of knowledge in several areas.....
plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, motors and pumps, etc.
I have some ideas but hope to see as much of this country's beauty as I can. What better place to find those special places
than from people who have been to them ?
My rig is a 1984 Beaver Royale diesel-pusher. I am removing the mid-80s "disco" look and plan to make it a warmer, homier environment. I hope to install solar panels to allow for long periods in boondocking areas. I am always looking for novel ideas and helpful tips.
