We have been full-time RVing since we sold our solar off-grid home in S. CO in 2008. We love boondocking and unfortunately our unbuilt property in Crestone, Colorado does not permit boondocking without a valid building permit to construct a solar home since it is located in an area with an Association.
We have workamped in FL, IL, IN, CO, OK, WY & other states as a means for paying for our campsites and providing additional income. We are life-time members of the ARRL (American Radio Relay League) ham radio organization. I am a lifetime member of the NRA since 1992. We are members of the GPAA, LDMA, and support gold panning clubs wherever we travel. I do stock day trading when the Internet connection is strong enough and my patience long enough.
We have boondocked in FL, IL, IA, NE, KS, CO, NM, OK, TX, WY & other places only our GPS remembers!
I was an electronic technician for 25+ years servicing electronic cash registers & designing test equipment for aerospace. First licensed in 1979, I have been an Amateur Radio Operator as KU9L for many years. Sheila and our son Patrick got their Codeless Technician class tickets in spring of 2000 as KB9YYI & KB9YYE.
A few miles north of Rico, CO on HWY 145 along the Delores River where we like to pan for gold, hike, & enjoy nature. Also a few pull-off's in the national forest pull-offs just south of Ouray, CO on HWY-550. Some of our favorite spots are along the streams of CO HWY-114 NW of Saguache, CO up and over North Cochetopa Pass.
We have a 2012 Lance 1181 truck camper hauled with our 2012 Ford F-350 dually, towing our 2009 Jeep Rubicon.
