I 60 years old and the owner of the BundutecUSA manufacturing facility the builds truck campers and small expedition gear trailers. I grew up camping and ran Northstar Campers for the past 40 years until I sold my interest in 2014.
When I travel, I like to run hard until I get to my destination stopping only when I get tired. The Walmarts can be noisy and other places I cannot be sure of the security. I like to be able to park someplace I know I will be welcomed and get a good night's rest.
Raymond is a small town with a restaurant and a gas/convenience store with diesel less than one block away.
Our facility can do some repairs during working hours
Yes, my dog goes everywhere with us
Live in Waterloo, Iowa and the stop over spot is at my shop in Raymond
I drive a Dodge 2500 Crew cab with a 8.5 slide-in camper pulling a 12 foot trailer
Rory has a big grassy area across from his business. Plenty of room for any size rig. He closes up shop and heads home at 5, so we didn't get to visit with him much, but it is a nice place to spend the night. There are train tracks very close by, and the train is loud! But only one train over night, so not a big deal. There is also a dive bar right next door, looks like a local hang out, macro beer and deep fried food if you need it.
Rory came out to meet us and showed us where to park, in a beautiful grassy lot across from his shop building. For those who prefer quiet, be aware that the train tracks are on the opposite side of his building. We heard three trains the first night, but only one on the second night, and it was before we went to sleep. The little bit of vehicle traffic from the side street didn't bother us at all. We would recommend this host for anyone passing through east central Iowa, near Waterloo.
Easy to find. Great accessibility. Very helpful. Only one train went by at night and it wasn't loud. Would stay again if I was passing thru.
Extremely accommodating, very nice folks. Quiet town. Enjoying every minute. Thank you for hosting. Would stay again
This is a convenient boondocking spot with easy access to the expressway. We felt much safer and at ease than staying at a Walmart etc. It is a nice quiet location with a quick walk to the convenience store if you need anything. We enjoyed that we could put out a slide and sit outside the RV in the hot evening. It is on a very quiet road that was perfect for walking our dogs.
The train does come through about 3x in the middle of the night and you are right next to the track, so it is very loud. This didn't bother us as we used to live next to a track and we were expecting it.
We enjoyed checking out BundutecUSA's product line as well! We learned about some awesome new products for future reference.
We really appreciate a RCWillet allowing fellow RVers to share his space!
