Enjoyed our brief visit with this couple. We enjoyed swapping stories of life, rvs and family. the commonalities of people all over and the importance of taking this time of life to see our country in person. We would love to crossing paths again.
Kevin was a great host. Very helpful and good information about Allendale. One of the cleanest nicest little towns you could ever hope to visit. Great conversations about our common experiences. Hope to see Kevin and his wife down the road.
Oh yes very nice tomatoes from Kevin’ wife and another wonderful conversation. The world is indeed small when you find out you
have a lot in common.
We were met by our host upon our arrival and guided to our parking space. He offered us water and 50 amp electricity. We couldn’t have ask for a more friendly and welcoming host. We had a nice visit in the evening and exchanged RV trips and destinations. If in the area we will definitely try to stay here again.
Thanks for hospitality.
What a totally enjoyable stay! Beautiful farm, quiet and peaceful. Kevin was a very welcoming host and got me all set up with electricity as well as parking my Casita behind the barn to protect me from the predicted storm. I would definitely stay there again.
We went a bit out of our way to stay here and were very grateful that we did. Our host was great and very hospitable. Set us up with power which was great since it was a bit warm. Got to meet the farm dog Toby who would greet us each time we left the rig. Very friendly and loved attention. The town of Allendale was great as well and within walking distance. What a friendly town, extremely clean and home to some beautiful houses. If you are anywhere close to this location I would highly recommend staying here, just be prepared to wave when walking around town because everyone will wave at you. The drive from I-35 was beautiful as well with nice rolling hills. Hope to return some time in the future.
The hosts were very nice people and we had time to talk with them for a while. They told us about a local restaurant and even called in a to go meal for us. Thanks for that. We had been driving all day and were to tired to cook that night.
Like some of the other guests have said, we didn’t get away without some fresh produce from there garden.
We hope to see them again either there, or at our location “Living in the Country”.
I made the most profound mistake any diesel owner can make. I accidentally put gas in my tank. I caught it after several gallons and finished the fill with diesel. Thankfully, I was lured to stay at the farm by the comment in the host location stating that you might have to take extra produce from the garden. Little did I know, the skill and expertise of my host would save my engine. He and his son drained my tank and helped me get fuel. Even the neighbors came down to assist. I don't think my engine suffered. In addition, I got tomatoes that were as good as candy, and some other fresh goodies. The next morning, I was surprised by a call from my host to check on my vehicle.
The stay was beautiful and peaceful, once the commotion I caused was under control.
Some of the kindest people ever! I am forever grateful.
If you like an out of the way farm, this place is hard to beat, and still only a few miles from the interstate.
I look forward to the opportunity to stay again.
I made a last minute request, and the hosts were very accommodating. A very pleasant environment -lovely green grass in a quiet rural location and lots of space. I even let my dog off leash to get a taste of country living.
