We are a couple traveling unless we decide to take a trip with a friend. I am easy going, thrilled to be retired, excited to see the sights and meet good people. I adapt to almost anywhere and love a nice campfire or talking around a fire pit. I enjoy playing card games, board games, outside games etc. My husband does not except for maybe horse shoes. I hope to travel some with the children and grandchildren too. We have two young grandchildren. Both toddlers. Our children have full time jobs so their traveling with us will be limited. We both love riding motorcycles but will not be bringing them with us. I have a hobby. Genealogy. It consumes a lot of my time as I also help others if they want to try and learn who their parent, parents or grandparents are.
I have no idea what to list here. I worked for 43 years. My last 32 years were spent in law offices in various positions such as Office Manager, Paralegal, Secretary, and Bookkeeper. Currently I enjoy working on genealogy - mine and others.
My husband did 23 years in the Navy.
We both have our motorcycle license and enjoy a good ride.
We raise a few angus steers on our daughter's property.
We both hunt. I love to hunt deer and my husband hunts a variety. We eat what we hunt.
We will not have any pets with us.
No. New to boondocking.
We live in North East, MD. I am from Clayton, Delaware and my husband is from Elkton, Maryland.
28 Foot motorhome. Forest River "Forester" Has 2 slide outs on the driver's side. One is for the bedroom area to allow enough area around the bed. The other is for extra room in the living room. We are new at camping so at this time we do not intend to pull anything.
We had the best hosts for two nights. They stayed up late to guide us into the neighborhood/driveway and were very accommodating. They are what makes Boondockers Welcome great!
If was such a thing, they would have a 5 star rating for sure! Our hosts went out of their way to extend hospitality at every turn. We arrived in the evening and were immediately met with pleasant conversation and kindness. After we were shown where to park and set up, we sat on the porch for a couple of hours of chit chat before turning in for the night. Parking and set up on the driveway was simple enough, the space designated for us was more than adequate. Even though they are super outgoing, we seemed to have a lot in common which made conversation easy and comfortable, we even know some of the same people! The property is very well kept and it was perfect for my dog Frank to wear himself out playing with their dog Bear. A++
We had a wonderful time. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. There home and grounds are just beautiful! It was a fantastic stay...
Where do I begin....We were privileged to be the first guests at this BW location! At first I didn't know if they were going out of their way to make us feel welcome, but soon learned they are just great folks!!!
Warm & inviting being welcomed into their family...friends forever for sure. Would love to visit my new friends again!
15a electric did work on my TT for AC. Didn't do it till the 3rd night as I was nervous. I was assured it would work & went for it. No extra cord needed. Is a dedicated outlet.
Hooked up water no problem with 1 hose.
Had stinky slinky & extra 10 ft to make it to dump. It went a bit uphill and needed a little help to drain out. I drained water 1st day, closed all up, then drained all 3rd day. That way I could close the lid.
You can work it out easily.
A long, slightly curved driveway to back up into and glad I had my friends guided me. All went well.😊
Nice of them to allow my pup roam the fenced backyard with theirs! So nice to see them get along.🐶🐾
Icing on the cake...my new friend helped me find newspaper articles about my relatives from early 1900's. Sooooo exciting!
Will miss our new friends, but I believe we'll see each other again someday!
Best of luck being great BW hosts! If you treat everyone like you did us, your family tree will be HUGE!!!
