We are Doug and Jane. We are retired. (sort of) We have a 40 acre working farm with cows and chickens and a golden retriever named Luke. We have a very large house where Jane sometimes hosts bed and breakfast guests.
I have been a lifetime farmer as well as working in home and industrial construction. I have worked in manufacturing from small 10 person shops to auto manufacturing. Jane is a retired RN
We have a pretty well equipped farm shop if your RV need a minor repair.
Golden Retriever named Luke. He loves to travel with us. Quiet and very well behaved.

Redwing just left this morning after sitting around the fire pit talking drinking coffee and tea and having a snack. I'm sure they would have stayed longer but it started raining again as it did most of the night so they prepared to leave and I retreated to my tiny house out of the weather.
They called yesterday evening to let me know they had just crossed the cattle guard on to the open range where I live so I went outside to watch for them and watched as they drove right past my unmarked driveway.
I called and got them turned around and walked halfway to the dirt road where they could see me.
Unfortunately the day had turned very windy and we weren't able to sit outside by the fire so we sat in my tiny house and talked.
He was interested in my solar power system so I explained how I had acquired and connected everything and what I was able to run with it and I believe he was suitably impressed.
Just after dark they retreated to their Casita but not until we had stood on the porch in the wind and looked at the stars. He showed me a star finder app that was amazing.
Although I live in the middle of nowhere light pollution from Albuquerque and Socorro is visible but the skies here are still amazing at night.
I had prepared a fire in the fire pit the night before because she had indicated that she loved to sit around a fire but it rained overnight and the kindling and paper were soaked this morning.
I made coffee and was sitting outside when I heard him come out so I said good morning and he replied then came around the house. I offered coffee so he went to get his favorite cup while I stuffed dry paper under the wet kindling and got a fire going.
She came with two plates of fruit and cheese and crackers and cookies and her tea and we sat and talked and looked at pictures of their farm in Ohio and enjoyed the fire until the rain began again.
I think they were both impressed by my off grid lifestyle which isn't for everyone.
Although our visits together we're short I totally enjoyed the company of both of them and was very happy to have them as my first guests.
It was a pleasure hosting the Redwing couple. Had some great conversation and a real nice (but short) visit . Always a pleasure meeting new folks. Would be welcome back anytime.
An absolute pleasure to host redwings. They are always welcome here.
It was a brief stay but we feel like we got to know him. Engaging conversation. Very courteous Would welcome him back anytime.
Redwing arrived just at dark ... We got them settled in and then visited a bit with them and their Golden Retriver Luke ...
They settled in after a long day on the road and we didn't see them until morning.
She fixed their breakfast while he and I were sitting on the back porch swapping lies. Luke came in for a good scratch and to nose around with our fur babies.
They were a delight to visit with and they are welcome anytime.
We had a lot in common with this couple, and we definitely hope to see them again. Great boondockers!
If you like country living, you will enjoy staying here. Doug and Jane will make you feel right at home. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon.
Our first boondocking experience, Woodhaven Farm was delightful. We only wish we could have stayed more than one night! Redwing and their friendly golden retriever Luke, gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the farm and woods. We enjoyed tea on the porch in the morning and conversation about organic farming, chickens, cows, bee keeping and native plants. Hope we can reciprocate the hospitality at our place soon!
What an absolute gem hidden back in the woods! Woodhaven Farm met me with an umbrella and took me in the house for iced tea and wonderful stories while waiting for the rain to slow down. What a delightful afternoon! I wish I could have stayed longer and hope I can make it back someday.
After a long day of driving in an entire day of rain, we reached Redwing's, were welcomed, and it was the respite needed for us. The electric plug-in, outstanding dinner, (inside their owener designed & built), and the friendly dog, were appreciated by us the exhausted travelers. Highly recommended for Boondockers as well as Bed and Breakfasters.
We just spent a weekend with Redwing at their great farm and Boondocking spot in southwestern Ohio. These people are extremely friendly and very hospitable. Nice quiet location with beautiful surroundings and not far from Rocky Fork State Park.
Stayed at Redwing and his wife's place. Excellent experience I can't say enough about this couple and their hospitality. I only stayed one night so far but I not only found a hidden treasure spot to stay but felt I met a new friend for life. I was shown several places I could stay for the night. I was invited to supper and it was a great supper. Bottom line is would recommend this couple and their property if you need a place to stay while traveling.
This couple are the nicest people you'll ever want to meet. They hosted our Class C on their farm over Memorial Day weekend, 2016. They took time to talk with us, even on a busy weekend at their B&B. They have a keen interest in history, and a broad array of talents and stories to share.
If they ever request a stay at your place, jump at the chance. You will have a great time with some lovely people....

We were very lucky to have them reach out to us so quickly. We did not even give a day's warning and we were welcomed onto his beautiful farm and B&B. We are travelling with 4 kids and they were happy to have them help feed the cows and talk their ears off. There is lots of room to walk/bike the grounds and forrest. They have bird feeders throughout which is fun and we even enjoyed a bonfire with their daughter and company visiting from the city. Come in your RV and come again to enjoy the B&B experience!
