We are both retired Postal workers, aging hippie types who wandered around the world (Europe, Africa, Asia) separately in our youth (sometimes at the kind request of Uncle Sam). We got together 26 years ago to create a home and raise a family (Brady bunch situation) but have always wanted to hit the road for longer than a vacation here and there.
Kids are grown and settled, active retirement was always the plan. Life is not waiting so we are on the road again.... she's a cook and gardener, he's a car guy always on the look out for the classic car forgotten in the barn (one can dream)..... interested in organic gardening, travel, healthy vegetarian food, the arts, activism and Eastern spirituality. We like to leave a small footprint but prefer the RV to sleeping bags on the ground or the floor in ashrams now that we are older and can afford it.
Good conversation, tales of adventure, ready to lend a helping hand.... helpful gardener and vegetarian cook.

Peaceful rural locations off the beaten path. We bought this RV in Vancouver BC and spent 3 months on the by ways of America to get her home to Florida, avoiding major highways, staying in small campgrounds, state parks or boondocking. Sometimes we just asked a friendly farmer if we could park for the night... sometimes we endured the Walmart parking lots... but mostly we found great rural spots here and there. This is a huge and beautiful country filled with wonderful folks... we met many on the road and hope to meet more.

Penny is a 1988 30 foot class A motor home. She is an oldy but a goody. Not huge, no slide outs, but "plenty big" enough for the two of us. We tow a geo tracker.
