I have traveled & lived in quite a few places, West & East(driven 3 times before I was 21). 30+ yrs on Martha's Vineyard Island. Where I was in the Home Buildiing trades for most of them. On top working 40 hrs, I also Bred & Trained a few Warmblood horses, Ran a Daylily Farm, Built Koi ponds, Then started raising & training Aussies(Australian Shepherds). I sold my Hand built Home on 3 acres at The Peak & took the money ran. To Ithaca NY. Where I sunk my money into 2 homes before the housing crash. :-( I have been traveling Up & down the eastern seaboard for yrs now. My last horse & I used to "winter" in Ocala, FL while I delivered Foals on the big farms, for a side job. Then my dogs & I have traveled for years now to Naples, FL to care for my aging parents. So traveling with dogs...... I now use the boondocking of Walmarts. To be able to just stop with the dogs when tired & leave early.
Soon I hope to travel the country Running Agility Trials with my dogs in a Class B Camper Van, before my aging injured body gives out.
I know a little about a lot. home Building is probably the best. but am pretty good at just figuring out to make something work. Vehicles are NOT my area, which is NOT good for traveling!
I have come across a few Great Walmarts for running my dogs. but I always seem to be in a hurry to remember to take notes.
Right now I have older 31' travel Trailer, that I Demoed down to the frame & rebuilt as a Tiny House Trailer. To live in while I build my house in WNC. It is not for traveling with. I plan on picking up a used Class B Sprinter Camper Van for the Great Agility Tour I ended up buying a 1995 Rialta QD. It has more floor space for dog crates, with the second seats removed. I have done a lot to the interior for traveling with 5 large dogs adding storage.
