Retired insurance adjuster. Enjoys woodworking, woodturning and landscape photography. Married to a fantastic wife for over 53 years. We have been blessed to have been to all 50 states and still travel every chance. When we are not traveling we live in Fort Garland Colorada normally from early June through October.
Woodworking and photography.
Our main home is in Nacogdoches, Texas the rest of the time. We normally can be found there between October and June. We will be switching our Boondocking to that address then.

It was our pleasure to host kenweaver for an overnight stay. We were able to spend time around a campfire and exchange stories and experiences of lives and travels. I hope we will be able to stop in at their place someday. We welcome them back any time. Safe travels ....
Was great to meet and visit with these fine Boondockers. Hope to be a guest at one of their locations soon. Beautiful coach, too!
We can not say enough great things about this amazing couple and property Trinchera Ranches was a perfect leveled spot with 30 amps, water hookup,
close to a beautiful large water reservoir and 40 min from the Great Sand Dunes.
There was a comfortable breeze in the evening and bright sunshine in the mornings. Our Hosts both husband and wife make you feel like family. They are very kind and sweet people.
We so appreciate them and have made good friends with them.
Thank you both :). We hope to return when we are in the area.
Our hosts were the best. They gave us a map and some ideas of sightseeing in the area. We took the Zapata falls they recommended. It was a great hike. Went also to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and San Louis where we hiked up a hill to a chapel, along which are stations of the cross bronze sculptures created by artist Humberto Maestas. We felt so welcome here! And great Verizon coverage
Helped us upon arrival. Very kind. Knowledgeable about the area. Dirt road to their lot.
If there are hosts more gracious, friendly, and accomodating...I can't wait to meet them. Ken & Carol are 2 of the nicest, most sincere people we have ever come across. Their property is beautiful with fantastic elevated views. They were delightful hosts, and we were a little sad to leave. Would LOVE to stay here again! If you get a chance to visit this fantastic couple, don't pass it up!
Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating! They came out to help us park the rig and had our water/electric hookup ready to go! The property is absolutely beautiful with views of the valley and a lake. It was about 35 minutes from Sand Dunes which was very convenient. We only stayed one night unfortunately because we were between destinations, but we would definitely spend a few days up here in the future! Ask the host the best way to the property before coming because GPS brings you down a rough dirt road, but he has a much easier paved road that you can take instead. Happy camping!
Ken and his wife are very accommodating we got there earlier than planned but he said it was no problem for us to check in early. Great conversation and friendly host. We dropped our trailer went over to greet Sands National Park. Other than a little smoke from the wildfires the view and the Mountain air was amazing.
Spent 1 night at Trichera Ranches. Ken and Carol were gracious hosts. We chatted about our favorite travels. They provide 30A electric for a nominal donation. It is a lovely location with a great view. We will certainly stay there again.
Ken and his wife are absolutely amazing hosts! They live on a beautiful hillside overlooking a lake, valley, and surrounded by mountains. We got to see elk from the site, and went to Great sand dunes which is about 35 minutes away for sunrise. It was an awesome experience and hope to stop through again sometime! Thank you so much ken!
Trinchera Ranch were so welcoming. We loved their summer place near Great Sand Dunes. The spot was gravel and level and water and electric were available. We did see elk in the nearby field. They were excellent hosts and we would stay here again.
What a beautiful place live ! The scenery is unmatched and our hosts are very generous and kind. We even had a rip-roaring thunderstorm which is something we really like. We would love to stay there again.
Trichera Ranches is a MOST awesome spot with very gracious hosts, beautiful views of the mountains, a lake, and a pasture of elk, and a quiet and level spot with water and electricity. Our visit was so much more than we ever dreamed of. We hope to return.
What can I say! Fabulous! Hosts were so nice. Got to take a 'tour' of the backyard mountains! They will soon be a super host...great location and great people!
Beautiful location. Very hospitable host. Very pleasant experience. I'll return someday. Near the Great Sand Dunes. Spot is on a private road so very quiet at night. Near a lake that we enjoyed visiting. We didn't want to leave. 😍
