We are Kevin and Kara, two forty-somethings traveling full time in our Class A diesel pusher. No dogs, no kids. We worked corporate accounting jobs for a couple of decades and saved a lot. Kevin still does some accounting work remotely but the majority of our time is spent exploring. We love to hike, mountain bike and experience new places through food and beer. When we can find local spots that allow drop-in guests, Kevin enjoys swimming laps and Kara enjoys yoga. Any local recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Kevin installed our solar and electrical system. He's pretty handy with most household things. He's pretty knowledgeable about RVs systems and troubleshooting issues. We travel with 3 grills including a smoker. Kevin loves to make Eastern NC pulled pork, ribs, and as he says "all the meats".
Kara bakes sourdough bread and loves to read. I am the planner of the gang so can share spreadsheets and Google maps for many locations. For fun, I write travel blogs about the destinations we've visited.
We call ourselves East Coasters because we've moved around a bit. We sold our house in Atlanta in 2015, rented for a few years before hitting the road and haven't looked back. Kara grew up outside of Raleigh NC. Kevin grew up in central Florida (dad) and the mountains of NC (mom). We met at East Carolina University in eastern North Carolina. We have lived in Atlanta (12 years), Dallas (2 years) and the UK (3 years).
Very well maintained 2000 American Tradition 37' Class A diesel pusher. We call her Pippi. She is white with plum and silver graphics. We tow a white Ford Fusion sedan.
We shared the weekend with our granddaughter's family (who just signed up with boondockers) and this friendly couple. Had some nice visits on a warm sunny day.. We would gladly welcome them back anytime....and hope they do so....Safe travels...
We enjoyed hosting Kara+Kevin. Fun friendly couple. Glad that they had a couple of days to explore our area. They are welcome back again.
Kara+Kevin was one of three rigs that stayed with us for a few days to explore the area. These Boondockers were a pleasure to host as a group, they were courteous and gracious. We were happy to provide a space for them to meet up and enjoy their time together.
Our guests Kara+Kevin were so friendly, easy to visit with, and just a delight. We would welcome them anytime....and hope they swing through our area again!
Kara+Kevin were great guests and we enjoyed visiting with them. They have done a lot of interesting travels and looks like a lot more to come. Welcome back anytme.
