We are Jack and Victoria. We have been married for over 25 years and have 3 grown children. Now that the kids are grown, we enjoy getting out at least once a month for a 3 day weekend and exploring. We love to hike. We like to explore museums. Donut shop stops are a must.

We are HUGE bookworms, and that is what you will find us doing in our truck camper most evenings—that or playing UNO. We are not fans of high heat and humidity, so we use our window air conditioner on HOT summer nights.

VJHuizinga's Pets

Our pets (one dog and one cat) stay at home with our commuting to college kids. But we do like dogs and cats.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

We loved our time in Utah this past April where we could boondock on BLM land. The nights were cool and the days were warm --perfect boondocking weather.

VJHuizinga's Hometown

Our home base is in Marion, Indiana.

Rig Type: Truck Camper

20 feet long

We have 2 different setups. Primarily for short visits such as Boondockers Welcome stays we will be using our black crew-cab F-250 with our NorthStar pop-up truck camper on its 8-foot box. We have a porta-potty inside and a sink with running water. It also has an a/c window-mounted unit and a propane heater. We also have a 28 foot 2016 Jayco trailer with a 12-foot slide but this primarily stays within a few hours of our home in Indiana or is used for longer stays. We would specifically say it was what we were planning to bring ahead of time. We pull it with our black F-250

Two very nice guests

Really enjoyed having this delightful couple stay with us for a couple evenings. They were out exploring by day, and enjoying some cool, comfortable sleeping weather at night. Would welcome them back any time, safe travels in the future!
