We are active and happy to live in the Rocky mountains. We love meeting new people and traveling to new places. We love sharing our rich live with others and welcome you to our home.
We love to bike, ski and run and do at least one of them most daysWatching the sun set over the peaks with a cold from our hot tub completes a lovely day. . We’d love to introduce our new friends to all the beautiful places here!
Mountain biking, backcountry skiing; Doug’s a genius fixer and both of us work in medicine.
We have the sweetest German shorthaired ponder, Yuki. She’s about 45 pounds, plays hard and sleeps soundly. Rarely barks and loves other dogs.

Leadville was a joy to visit with its history, recreational opportunities and beautiful scenery. Yeakelbuger was very welcoming, assisting with choosing a site, connecting us to electric. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts after L returned home from work. Definitely would love to return if we find ourselves in Colorado again.
Wow, what a delightful trip! Doug and Lolos Mountain Paradise is just that: a serene setting in the forest, surrounded by magnificent fourteen thousand foot mountains, and close to the charming town of Leadville. Getting to the property was easy thanks to Doug’s detailed directions. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and shared a cold beer on the deck before turning in for the night. A perfectly quiet and peaceful night, at that! This is a must visit if you are passing through Colorado high country!
We wish we had time to stay longer. We arrived after dark but we’re met by our host and guided in on the phone which was so nice and helpful. Waking up to the views on their gorgeous property was so nice. Hope we can stop and stay here again!
Very friendly hosts. Their property is nestled in the woods. When it got dark,. the sky was filled with stars. Loved it. I would ask to stay again if I were in the area.
Wonderful hosts. Wonderful location. Spent our time in nearby Copper Mountain and mountain biking in Leadville. Was great knowing our camper was in both a safe and beautiful location while we explored. Hosts were lovely people and we wish we could’ve spent more time together.
Our morning was made waking up in such a beautiful place and to beautiful hosts! “Yeakelburger” could not have been more kind, accommodating and hospitable! Their mountain paradise was breathtaking. Super convenient to town and just far enough away. The stars at night were magical. Nothing like it! We are so grateful to have been hosted! Thank you again!!!
What a great place to stay! Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Great views of the mountains. Wonderful place to unwind we will definitely be back.
Yeakelburger raises the bar for hosts several notches. For me and my mission of climbing the 14ers in the area, I could not have found better partners/hosts than Yeakelburger. Their love for adventure and outdoors was a common denominator for us. Their generosity in all respects is unparalleled.
We didn't actually get to stay (something came up on our end), but Doug and Lolo were so very welcoming and kind. Lolo and I communicated via boondockers welcome and then Doug and I spoke by phone. He shared tips about the area and gave advice for mountain bike rides. Both were so very kind, my big regret is not meeting them in the flesh! Hope to cross paths in person, I bet we would be fast friends :-)
We loved this spot! It is only 2 miles outside of town but feels like a secluded forest. The hosts were incredibly friendly, and just very cool people. Leadville is really a hidden gem with its historic downtown and the mineral trail, a 12 mile paved path that can best be described as an outdoor mining museum. If you love to bike or ski, you will want to visit this place!
Easy to communicate with prior to the stay. A nice warm welcome. Gave us a couple spots to choose from. Asked if we needed anything, even offered some extra amenities. Our kids had a great time! And Leadville is beautiful. Already missing it. Would definitely stay again.
Friendly hosts and pup! We were blessed to have this serene spot to rest in.
Thank you for hosting us!
Lots of space, swing set and lovely views of Mt Massive.
Doug and Lolo have a beautiful place, a with direct view of Mt. Elbert in a quiet woodsy setting. We had interesting discussions with our hosts. Doug took me on a gorgeous 15 mile bike ride on a path that circles the village.
