We had a short but pleasant stay at Charliescamp. It was very quiet and the grounds are beautiful. Charliescamp is very responsive to questions and we hope to visit again for a longer stay. Highly Recommend.
The host was so friendly and helpful. He came out with two beautiful puppies that I fell in love with! The grounds are spectacular... beautiful home, beautiful pond, wonderful barn with a view overlooking the pond! I could stay here forever! :) Hookup was easy peasy on the side of his barn. When in this area, we will definitely give Charliescamp a call!! Thank you so much for hosting us!
Host spoiled us with this venue! I doubt we will find another comparable. A must visit as the photos don't reveal all this location has to offer. Two to four bars of Verizon. Host was super... interesting, generous, helpful... I didn't want to leave! I'll be back!
Had an amazing time here! Beautiful location, big rig friendly. You do have to back in next to the barn for the electrical hookup but it's a straight shot back, easy peasy! Host was completely accommodating and welcoming! Went riding and showed me around the area Highly recommended!!
Charlies Camp was amazing! The pictures do not even do this property justice. The grounds are breathtaking and it was very easy getting into our spot. We had electric and water hookups and a pretty level spot beside the pretty barn. It was quiet and relaxing the two days we stayed. Our host was just as wonderful as the property. He not only made us feel welcomed, but went out of his way to make our stay great! It was almost like home, swimming and fishing and playing in the yard with our little one. The host is very down to earth and easy to talk to. If we are being honest, we didn't want to ever leave haha! If in the area again, we will definitely stop back in!
We arrived at the location using the address 4200. This was the right address but wring driveway. We had to back our rig out of the front drive and go back about 100 yards.
Future guests should turned across the street from the mailbox for 4201. This is the gravel road and lead back to the garage area to park.
Now that is said we enjoyed our stay very much. Electric and water readily available. Pretty level gravel pad close to the barn/ garage. Barkansas, our dog had plenty of room to run around in the shade.
Since our host wasn’t there we left our money in the electric panel.
Thanks for stay and we hope to meet you some day.
We made it to Little Rock AFB where we will stay for week.
In traveling from Southern Louisiana to a wedding in Mountain Home, we wanted a place that was close but still able to get us a head start heading home. This place was perfect! Beautiful, quiet, Charliescamp was easy to get in touch with, but we had no problems! Thanks!
This was our first Boondockers stay and what a stay it was. Our host was graceful and considerate. The view out on the lake was second to none. We just stayed one night but would definitely stay again next time we are passing through.
Host was friendly and accommodating. Met us upon arrival and directed us to a beautiful and level site next to his barn which had 50 amp electric and water. This place is a wonderful place to relax and rest. The grounds were breathtaking. Host went out of his way to invite us to swim in his resort style pool. Very generous host! Great place to come and unwind. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
We wish we could have stayed longer! What a property and the best part of course was the warm welcoming host. Charliescamp entertained us beyond expectations. We are so grateful for our stay and hope to be back someday soon.
We stayed at this location on our way to Hot Springs National Park. Host has a spectacular property with a beautiful house, a pool, pond, and a very nice barn. The property has many shaded trees and manicured lawn and gardens, which sits in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the stay at this magnificent place, would love to come back and highly recommend it. We did not have the pleasure of meeting the owner but would have loved to meet such an accommodating, responsive and generous human being.
Of course if it's our 1st stay it's our best but I have no doubt it will be #1 for a long time. The parking area is level and clear. The property is amazing! It's a beautiful home with a pool and pond, manicured lawn, very nice barn and plenty of room to walk around and stretch after a long drive! The owner was very responsive to any questions. If we get through this way again, I certainly hope we can stay at this location!
Sorry to have missed our host and hostess but had a surrogate in his brother Richmond. Wow, jaw dropping estate, what a great place. Nice level parking next to the Barn, 50 amp service and water available right there. Offered the use of the pool and floats. You must see this immaculate boondockers location.
Do not miss the Crowley Nature Center a short drive, it was very enjoyable and educational. We also visited two nearby state parks. Thanks to our very generous host.
What a terrific find on our way to KS! Our host went out of his way to accommodate our stay and to be certain we were settled in and comfortable. And what a beautiful property to rest and rejuvenate before another long day of travel. Many thanks again to our kind host.
This is the nicest property we've had the pleasure to stay, boondocking or paying for a spot at an RV resort. We parked next to a big beautiful barn that had a 50 amp connection and water. There was a pond with a dock where we could catch and release, and a paddle boat. Our fabulous host allowed us to use his resort-style swimming pool with swim-up bar. There is even a waterfall topped with a fire pit. It's no surprise that he rents out his property for weddings.
We had the pleasure of hanging out with our host after dinner, who treated us like long lost friends and generously shared his wine. A big thank you to our host for a wonderful evening!
My wife and I were on a photo shoot project and wanted to boondock for a couple of days close to the location of the shoot. Wow! What a special place we found! For anyone traveling anywhere near Charliescamp, you must stay here at least one night. Then, you'll want to stay even longer! The location is beautiful and even has hookups if needed to refill and recharge. The host is unbelievably welcoming, accommodating and generous. We'll be back here again soon to enjoy the location and the kindness of the host. Great for a quick overnight stop on the way to your final destination. Heck, just make Charliescamp your final destination. It's worth the trip; however far it may be!
