These folks were fine guests and are welcome back in the future. They stayed with us for one night during their travels east.
Came here to see dc, but had trouble parking there class C at the metro, they decided they needed a little down time and R&R, so the just hung out and we lay them stay a few extra days. I hope they can make it back this way in the future.
Would host again
She and her friend stopped at our place this past fall. Very nice and friendly would not hesitate to have her return or to stay with her if we were in the area.
We had a nice stay, but didn’t have much time to spend with the host because of Covid.
The pond out back was covered with geese and we watched more come in while the sun was setting.
Easy parking and hook up.
This was the last stop on our week’s journey. Now it’s on the road back home.
From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were welcomed and treated with such warm hospitality. Our hosts were such fun to talk with as we shared travel experiences and bucket list dreams. The fenced yard was so welcomed by our fur baby to run and enjoy the company of their young dog too. Although it was a bit too warm to enjoy the hot tub, the offer to use was extended and much appreciated. I look forward to keeping in touch with our new friends and am so glad we had a chance to enjoy their company and their charming property. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
I had the good fortune of catching the hosts home for the first day of my stay before they took off on their own RV adventures! They were the loveliest folks, and I can’t say enough good things about them! We had wonderful conversation and good laughs. I look forward to staying here on my next time through the area!
Great place and great host. We also had the chance to attend a rodeo! Nice evening in great company.
Highly recommended.
Such a warm invitation to stay, even though my host wasn’t going to be home. Very easy access, scenic back yard. Wonderful!
We can't imagine a nicer host couple! As soon as we arrived we were treated like old friends. We were invited in for drinks and homemade pie, while our pup got to roam free in their fenced backyard. This couple has plenty of travel and RV knowledge, and were happy to share all of their experience with us. Their paved driveway was easy to get into with our 24' motorhome, and their location on a cul-de-sac was great for getting in and out. We won't be missing this stop the next time we're in Kansas!
Very nice and considerate hosts. The spot is in a small town, within a couple of blocks to a Dollar General store so it's super convenient for everything I needed while here.
These host were incredibly generous and offered such a pleasant environment to relax in. The view of the pond form their Gazebo is worth 30 min of silence with nature.
Our hosts were most gracious and hospitable. We were invited into their home for some drinks and a bite to eat. Also enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the deck. Highly recommend spending a night here. We will if we return to that area.
Really enjoyed catching up with our host that we met earlier this summer. They are so accommodating. Would highly recommend I stop in at Lynn’s pastoral pond if you’re in the area.
We were able to use hot tub and gazebo.
Very nice people!!
Thank you
Very nice place with a beautiful view. Watched the sunset from the gazebo and just enjoyed the nice and quiet of the neighborhood. Didn’t actually get to meet my host, however, I did get to meet one of her close friends who came and made sure I got set up without any problems. Incredible people all around. I would definitely recommend this location if you are traveling through the middle of Kansas. Very easy to get to with a store and a place to eat breakfast close by. Thank you! to my wonderful host for making this possible!
Wonderful host and hostess. Made us feel right at home. It was a very hot day so we were able to use their 110 outlet. Invited us in for some refreshments and we played some old-time and Celtic music for them. And we talked about our various camping adventures. Really nice people.
Host were very gracious. They invited us in to play cards with her neighbors and we had a great time. Thoroughly enjoyed a soak in the hot tub to ease all are tired muscles From traveling. Saw an amazing sunset from the gazebo. Life doesn’t get any better. Would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the neighborhood.
We met our hosts when they had guests enjoying the sunny afternoon on the deck. Graciously they invited us to join them for drinks, laughs and lots of fun conversation. We plan to stay in touch with our new ‘friends’!
We were able to stay at travelingnana's one night while coming through Kansas to visit friends in nearby Ottawa. Though we didn't get to meet her, her friend helped us get set up and we appreciate her kindness so much!
Lynn is the sweetest person you would ever want to meet! She had made dinner for us on the night we arrived. She has a beautiful view over a pond with cows nearby and a gazebo for morning coffee. Overbrook has a beautiful small lake with a paved walking path around it. You could walk from her house to use it. We didn't have enough time as we were travelling through, but it would be fabulous for walking dogs. If you are ever in the area, I would recommend staying with Lynn. Thanks again Lynn for a great time! Sally and Dave
We spent the most wonderful night with Travelingnana. She was more than hospitable. Great paved parking pad, 20 amp electric available, lovely town, easy to find host site, just could not be better. There is a sign coming into town that says "don't overlook Overbrook". If mid America is on your route, "don't overlook Overbrook!" We have made a new friend.
