Host Nelson greeted us and made us comfortable.
He has a nice level hard packed gravel site and provided 110v/15 amp electric. He has a great yard that our dog Stella enjoyed.
Nelson allowed us to stay overnight on his property even while he was himself traveling. Beautiful piece of property, quiet and very close to the Woodstock Fair grounds. Great host!
The location is nice. Quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed strolling around his garden and yard. The evening breeze was very calming. Wish I had parked the RV in a place where I could feel the breeze. The host was polite. We had a nice conversation about his travels. Was there just overnight. Arrived in the evening and left early in the morning.
Easy to find and get set up...lots of room in gravel driveway...peaceful wonderful quite country setting with very nice view...Nelson replied very fast to my online request to stay and quickly replied to my emails and text messages...my 2 dogs and myself are thoroughly enjoying our boondocking expierence here...very nice downtown with lots to eat and shop...WalMart very close by...and route 395 is easy to get to...TWO Thumbs Up All Day Long! It's like a post card view...I'm a small town fan...better than a campground for sure...not to mention the weather been perfect.
We contacted Nelson the day before getting to his area and he quickly replied and had no problem with us parking in his drive the next day! He met us at the top of his drive to direct us in and show us where to park for the weekend. Made for a perfect time visiting with our son that had just moved to the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We called Nelson as we were getting close and he actually was standing in the driveway to greet us as we drove in. He offered us 2 different locations to park. His driveway was large and graveled and we were able to easily maneuver our 40' 5th wheel into the chosen spot. He then showed me the hook-ups of water (great pressure) and 110 volt electric. We chatted for a few min. and then got the rig set up. Nelson later brought us 2 beautiful tomatoes from his garden which were very tasty. We stayed there 2 nights and saw Nelson several times but he wasn't intrusive, just a great host. We offered to pay him for the electric and water we used but he refused. We would go back to see him again if we were to be in his area. By the way, that area of Conn. is gorgeous and rolling scenery. Thanks again, Nelson.
Thanks Nelson for quickly inviting us to stay on your drive.
