Nice quiet stay behind garage with 15 amp . The host was very helpful, calling to make sure I got the right place, and helping me to back out in the morning. Very convenient location for visiting Old Sturbridge Village.
Nelson and his wife were very friendly. They have nice dogs! They gave us the choice of a gravel parking or grass. Both were very level. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
Arrived at the host location and was greeted by very friendly and helpful Nelson. Showing me where to park and offering electric. Talked for a bit about racing, since that’s why we were there, and was then left to set up and cook dinner.
Very easy going and comfortable stay.
Thank you so much
Overall a very good location and friendly host. We saw a lot of dear on the property.
When I was parking on arrival I foolishly drove onto grass that was wet from rain trying to back the trailer into position - don’t make my mistake, I needed a tow truck to pull us out. Nelson was forgiving and I patched up the ruts :)
Walmart was close. Also Tractor Supply was close for propane.
Nelson's place is a wonderful spot to park for a few nights when in this area. Fairly level and large enough to be able to turn around. Nelson was very pleasant and helpful. A relief to have electric available as the weather was cold and wet for our time there.
Nelson was our first time staying with a Boondocker Welcome host. It was a most pleasant experience. He gave us directions and confirmed we could pull in with our tow vehicle.
We had electricity which was a plus to charge our batteries.
Nice level place, shaded and quiet.
We enjoyed our stay.
Nelson met us as we arrived and helped us get into the spot no problems then he helped us find places around the area to go ride our bikes which was extremely appreciative also Nelson showed us some of his bikes which is pretty cool really enjoyed that I want to thank yhim so much for making our stay perfect
We popped in for a rest/school day on our way to Boston. It was a quick stop with a great host! Thanks for letting us stop by for a night!
Host Nelson greeted us and made us comfortable.
He has a nice level hard packed gravel site and provided 110v/15 amp electric. He has a great yard that our dog Stella enjoyed.
Nelson allowed us to stay overnight on his property even while he was himself traveling. Beautiful piece of property, quiet and very close to the Woodstock Fair grounds. Great host!
The location is nice. Quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed strolling around his garden and yard. The evening breeze was very calming. Wish I had parked the RV in a place where I could feel the breeze. The host was polite. We had a nice conversation about his travels. Was there just overnight. Arrived in the evening and left early in the morning.
Easy to find and get set up...lots of room in gravel driveway...peaceful wonderful quite country setting with very nice view...Nelson replied very fast to my online request to stay and quickly replied to my emails and text messages...my 2 dogs and myself are thoroughly enjoying our boondocking expierence here...very nice downtown with lots to eat and shop...WalMart very close by...and route 395 is easy to get to...TWO Thumbs Up All Day Long! It's like a post card view...I'm a small town fan...better than a campground for sure...not to mention the weather been perfect.
We contacted Nelson the day before getting to his area and he quickly replied and had no problem with us parking in his drive the next day! He met us at the top of his drive to direct us in and show us where to park for the weekend. Made for a perfect time visiting with our son that had just moved to the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We called Nelson as we were getting close and he actually was standing in the driveway to greet us as we drove in. He offered us 2 different locations to park. His driveway was large and graveled and we were able to easily maneuver our 40' 5th wheel into the chosen spot. He then showed me the hook-ups of water (great pressure) and 110 volt electric. We chatted for a few min. and then got the rig set up. Nelson later brought us 2 beautiful tomatoes from his garden which were very tasty. We stayed there 2 nights and saw Nelson several times but he wasn't intrusive, just a great host. We offered to pay him for the electric and water we used but he refused. We would go back to see him again if we were to be in his area. By the way, that area of Conn. is gorgeous and rolling scenery. Thanks again, Nelson.
Thanks Nelson for quickly inviting us to stay on your drive.
