Just when you think it can’t get any better we were blessed to stay at the Desert Winds Farm in Virginia. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and willing to accommodate any needs we may have. They built a site just for RV visitors that has 50 amp service and water. The site is covered with granite type rocks and is very level. There is plenty of room to get your RV in and out and it’s located several hundred yards away from the main house so you never feel that you may be disturbing the hosts. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful with lots of open area and farmland. Every place we went showed the pride that people have for the area as everything was well maintained and manicured. I particularly liked the fact that I could walk out of our coach and fly my radio controlled airplane.
Thank you for our stay and may God bless the both of you. We hope that we will meet up again someday.
We spent one night at the begining of our road trip and it was just fantastic place with helpfull hosts. They fixed up a big place for boondockers with all facilities. It is a very quiet place and we loved spend a few time with them. Our little girls apprecieted playing on the ground with dogs. Merci pour votre générosité. Take care, amitiés Pierre Anne Charlotte et Babette <emoji>
Desert Winds offered a uniquely positive combination of a natural setting, an active farm, and skilled individuals that was most impressive.
Nice and very quiet. Thank you for the water and electricity hook up.
Thank you for staying at your lovely place and your concerned about our well being overnight.
We really enjoyed talking about food wine while having coffee and the cake.

The hosts where very accommodating.Lot's of down home country humor.Hope to catch them on my return trip from Fl in the spring. They worked along with my ever changing schedule. i'm not much of a typer so just make the phone call and rattle on,the country way.You are always welcome if you come North.Merry Christmas and a Happy New year
Desert Winds was very accommodating during our stop-over heading back south. We arrived later than planned due to a late morning start. The ride in was nice on smooth curved country roads. The parking is nice and quiet; a welcome haven after a long day on the road. Thank you for your hospitality! Definitely recommend staying here (and when they get on the road, if they ask you to stay, give them a great spot!).
