I retired from the police department of Lausanne, in Switzerland (french speaking part) after 39 years of duty, I was detective during 21 year, and finished at the communication office as webpublisher, photograph and lot of other kinds of jobs for the department, with the rank of seargent major.
With my "compagne" Monique, we travel in North America for two years now, and discovered a lot of wonderful places, from south (Florida - Texas - New Mexico - etc) to north (Alaska - Arctic Ocean - Northwest Territories - Madeleine Islands). We love USA and Canada.
We own a Beaver Contessa 43' and tow a Ford Explorer pickup. We have no pet and no children with us. They stay in Switzerland.
We will spend the winter in Guadeloupe for visa reasons... We will let our vehicles in Quebec in storage. For 2016,we plan to visit Midwest from north to south.
Monique doesn't speak much english, our language is french, but my english is quite fluent enough for our travel. I hope you understand what I wrote! :D
We both love to take photos. I have a page in Facebook under the name of "Jisse Photographe Aventurier". If someone wants to contact me through FB, I'm under "Jisse Seydoux".
We try to avoid the too big cities. We love nature and if we have to stop just for overnight, we had a preference for Walmart parkings... but we did not know about Boondocking group! ;)
We have an "address" in Navarre, Florida, where we go for few weeks every year, but we have no home there, just a friend's address that allows us to have our licence plates in Florida ;) So we try to find some boondocking in Navarre - Destin area... Not easy.
We do have a home town in Switzerland, but we don't have anymore residence there.
