After working for many years as an educator, I accepted a position in Milan, Italy. My husband, a retired business owner, lived there with me. We were there for three years exploring Europe, Turkey, Greece, and parts of Africa.
Our desire to see the U.S. was born in the Netherlands. It was a cold rainy day and we were touring the tulip fields just outside of Amsterdam. We stepped into a small gazebo for shelter while we were added a layer of rain-gear. An older woman engaged us in a conversation. When she learned that we were from the U.S., she began to exclaim how much she loved our country. She listed all the National Parks that she had traveled to, and we just scratched our heads. We basically had seen very few of them. Since we knew we were leaving Italy that year, we decided to travel by camper in our own country and explore all that it has to offer.
Over a year ago, we bought a Safari Alto. They are in high demand, and we have been waiting for it to be built. September 28, 2015, is our pickup date, and we will begin our new chapter in life.
My husband is very talented at figuring out solutions to problems around the house. He owned a hardware store for 30+ years and he is very clever.
I have limited computer experience. Both of us enjoy cooking!
