We are a retired university professor and an official translator. We've travelled "all over the place" before the pandemic, but are now exploring on land! We are Christians and participate in a local ministry to migrant workers. Our gardening, home improvements and decorating projects fill up the rest of our spare time.
We sure do have a lot of skills and abilities, but might not want to divulge them all, in order to avoid working while on vacation, either ours or our guests!
Yes. We have a chihuahua fox terrier mix. She weighs seven pounds and is very friendly and sociable.
We're just getting started, so don't have locations to share yet.

We really enjoyed meeting JuanitaLaTraductora, and their sweet little dog. They came bearing very thoughtful gifts, were super quiet and very enjoyable to talk to. As fellow country dwellers who appreciate nature and peaceful quiet, we have them our our list of hosts we would like to visit one day. Highly recommend as great guests.
Very friendly kind hearted couple. Look forward to seeing them again.
Very nice couple. Had a little chat at the end of their stay. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best for them. I believe they still had a chance to visit around our community. Their little dog was so adorable and good nature. Thank you for the gift and take care of each other until next time.
JuanitaLaTraductora (and Chiquita the dog) were perfect guests. They are very self-sufficient, enjoyed walking around town, and had dinner reservations at a restaurant patio. (It was the first day that patios were allowed to reopen after lockdown.) They brought us some fresh garden veggies - yum. And since I've been working on learning Spanish, she shared some great advice in that regard. We'd love to spend more time with this lovely couple and welcome them back often and at any time.
These hosts did everything to make our two-day stay in their area the most enjoyable! The first evening, upon our arrival, they warmly greeted us and offered us some of their homemade jelly! They also gave us great tips on planning our cycling tours. The second evening, they visited us to inquire about our day and gifted us with a bag of apples from their orchard! They are a kind, caring and generous couple! Furthermore, we spent two peaceful nights on their property which is located on a very quiet street. We highly recommend these friendly hosts and hope to have the pleasure to stay at their location in the future!
Joan and Dan are the most wonderful of hosts with a lovely property for a peaceful stay and much knowledge to share of the walking, hiking and biking activities in the area. We would love to have the opportunity to return.
Was a nice place and the hosts were super .They definitely have no problems in welcoming guests
