I retired two years ago from the Univ. of California, San Francisco, where I worked as a web developer for the school of medicine. I burned out on computer work and decided to buy a camper-van and travel with my dogs, instead of sitting at a desk ... a fabulous decision! One of my dogs is an Italian 'truffle dog' -- a Lagotto Romangolo -- and so we travel to the Pacific NW in truffle season (late fall and winter, ugh) to hunt these elusive fungi. Other seasons, we'll go anywhere for any reason at all.
Dog training! I have two dogs, and one is a truffle hunter (the fungus kind, not the chocolate kind)(although I like the chocolate kind more). Some remaining expertise in web stuff, since I'm a retired web developer; but most of those brain cells have shriveled up and died by now, alas.
San Francisco, CA.
2002 VW Eurovan "Weekender", with pop-top (aka 'tent on wheels'). We're not longer than a typical small passenger van, and not higher either. Great city vehicle, small footprint while still self-contained, and it's always fun to sleep in the pop-top.
