I am new retiree and live with my wife and grown son in Northeastern NC close to the Outer Banks.
Retired tool repairman with Ford Motor Co.I play a bit of guitar and golf too. I am handy with small repair jobs.Wife enjoys planning our adventures.
We have one feline named Boots. She is an old girl and we don't take her on adventures with us as she has her own close to home.
Love the western part of our country as so many places to boondock. Took 2 month long trips to Canada, one to Banff and Jasper and the other to the Atlantic Provinces in 2017.
We live in a small town in Northeastern NC near the Va/NC line.
We drive a 2007 Roadtrek 190P. Bought it used and have loved it!
They stayed just one evening. So glad we got to meet them & visit a bit.
Look forward to seeing them again!
We enjoyed hosting this wonderful couple, and had some good conversations! Would be delighted to host them again in the future!
We really enjoyed meeting these two and spending some time chatting and sharing stories. We hope to see them again out there in the RV world. We will stay in touch for sure!
This couple was so nice I wanted to keep them !!! I recommend them highly as a boondocker on your site...
Although my husband & myself were not home to meet coffeemate1, our daughter and Grandsons were here when they arrived. Our daughter shared this couple was wonderful and she wished she could have visited with them longer.
If they should come back our way we would be pleased to host them again.
Great guests! We had a fun conversation swapping travel stories. We both own 'older' Roadtreks, so we had exchanged ideas on improvements to our rigs.
They kept us informed as they made progress to our house.
We would gladly host them again, and we hope to drop in for a visit to see them the next time we are in North Carolina.
We hosted this fine couple for 2 nights. Had a great time learning about each other's Class B RVs: mods, problems solved, etc. We also found we had many common interests in traveling, preferred sites like the natural wonders of our country, and ministry areas like disaster relief and special needs folks. John was working a local LPGA golf tournament so we went and had a great time. We probably would never have gone to such an event without their recommendation.
Very interesting couple. Enjoyed the conversations and exchange of travel locations. Sorry they could not stay longer.
coffeemate1 are a friendly and fun couple that we met in the fall. we still continue to keep in touch. they are the kind of folks you met and feel like you have known a long time. we enjoyed our time with them and so will you. highly recommend coffemate1 as a guest and I can imagine they would be awesome hosts. I am hoping to get a chance to visit their home stomping grounds. it is a part if the US I have desired to visit.
Lee and Don stayed two nights in our driveway. They were very pleasant and forgave us our horrible weather while they were here. Hope they come back when I am well and we'll do a bike ride for sure.
Tony and I were delighted to host our first boondockers. It was an excellent experience.
They kept in contact with us to let us know when they would be arriving at our home so we could greet them. They were quiet, considerate, and communicated well. We enjoyed hearing about their experiences and learned a few tips to help us on our own journey. We are hoping to meet up on the road. I highly recommend them to you. I give them 5 stars. : )
Our hosts J and L were out at the curb when we drove up. They welcomed us like long lost friends or family. They just rolled out the red carpet. We would happily travel back here for no other reason but to stay with them. We enjoyed sharing our camping stories by their fire pit. Thank-You so much for everything. Oh and this was our first BW experience and we were beyond impressed!
Really enjoyed our stay with Coffeemate1. Even though it was brief we felt an almost immediate connection as we compared travel experiences and campervans. We look forward to getting to know them better when they visit us later this year.
I cannot say enough good things about these wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming for me to boondock right before the holidays, and when my original holiday plans fell through, they invited me to spend Christmas with their friends & family, who were all wonderful & fun people. They are so generous and caring, love to exchange stories of adventures. The husband has some know how to help me trouble shoot issues with my generator. They wanted to make sure my camper van is in in shape to continue my journeys. Very sweet people and I feel I've made new friends. Definitely recommend!
We had our first Boondockers' stay here, and it was definitely an experience worth repeating. We received a great deal of tips and tricks for our travel route, which we followed and will follow because so far they have been proven useful and correct. Thank you so much, we had a great stay.
We parked a night in the driveway at there house, these guys went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and we enjoyed the visit very much.
We were fleeing the cold and heading south, looking for a good stop over. Unfortunately our hosts were out of town, but they still let us spend the night in their level concrete driveway and plug in. It was the perfect solution. Quiet, cute, residential neighborhood. Excellent communication. Wonderful experience.
Thank you to our hosts for a warm welcome, sharing your stories and giving us encouragement on the first leg of our maiden (...less than perfect) voyage. We got the electrical issues all fixed thanks to your advise. And we survived our first month out! We are having a great time... but after 3 weeks we dumped the pop-up and got a real RV that we now call home. Hope to see you on the road!
