We are two ladies who joined forces after Gayle was widowed and Ruth returned from work overseas. Gayle retired after 45 years in education and Ruth after 35 years. Gayle had spent years camping with her family and Ruth had backpacked. We shared our interest in bicycling extensively across the US and Europe. Then we started showing Labrador Retrievers in agility and conformation. We have used the RV to travel the country, visit family here and there, and show the dogs.
Gayle is a weaver, enjoys gardens, and reads - especially history and science. Ruth rides a recumbent, sews, and enjoys computers. Both enjoy training the Labradors.
Yes! We have two Labrador Retrievers. Sophie is our yellow - she's turning 13 in May 2018 - retired from agility trials now and doing well on two surgically repaired knees (from frisbee play - not agility). Maturin (Matty) is our black - he's turning 3 in April 2018 - currently running agility and sweet as pie. Both are named after characters in Patrick O'Brien's sea novels and do love water. As English Labs and running agility, we keep them close to 60 pounds each. They're both extensively trained in obedience from puppyhood, and Matty trains in agility at least twice weekly.
2012 Winnebago View 24J - a class C diesel on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It is a "Skinny Winnie" which means it is only 7'6" wide with the slide pulled in. We usually have a Stowaway hitch mounted cargo box on the back. We appreciate 30 amp service if available or the ability to use the generator.
We hosted them and would be happy to have them back any time. Maybe next time when there aren't tractors nearby running! <emoji>
We hosted Gayle and Ruth and their two Labs one evening during the Labor Day weekend. These are two
wonderful people and we certainly invited them back to stay at any time!
