Really enjoyed meeting them. We hope to stop at their place someday.
The mstrshop1 family stayed with us for two nights. They were very friendly and courteous. They treated our property as if it was there own. We had a delightful visit. I would not hesitate to host them again and would recommend them to other hosts.
Happy to host such a nice couple. So quiet and kind. See you next year.
Enjoyed meeting you guys and hope to catch you in Arkansas sometime. These folks are the perfect guest.
Was happy to welcome this pleasant couple for an overnight on their way farther north. Was a hot day of travel for them and they were glad to call it a day. Welcome back anytime!
Mstrshop1 were great guests ... We only had a few hours to talk but we covered a lot of miles while doing it ...
They are on their way to THE ARK in Kentucky to meet up with some friends and do the tour ...
We would welcome them back any time ...
This is a relaxing, quiet country location with the unique benefit of parking out of the elements.
Very welcoming couple, We had a lot of interest in common. Stayed here in our 38' travel trailer did not have to unhook.
Nice to know there are still some quiet places on earth to get a good nights sleep and this is one of them! Our hosts were very delightful and enjoyed talking with them. Thank you very much for the quiet, level parking spot with both water and elec. We will definitely stop back if in the area and would love to host you as well if you get to Florida.
So blessed and grateful to be able to camp here over Easter. The host invited me to join in Easter dinner but I kindly declined just because I’m keeping myself socially distant since I have not received my Covid shot yet. Don’t want to put my guard down as I head north to stay with my 86 yo mother for Mother’s Day. I will look to get my shot somewhere soon. This host was so kind to prepare me a yummy dinner and walked it to my RV. Me and Hershey enjoyed our visit and recommend this spot for sure.
We appreciate your hospitality! Thanks for letting us stay and for giving Frank some puppy love ;)
Great experience staying here. Beautiful country setting. Nice accommodations for us, we parked under their large car port structure that had electrical hookup (for which we paid a small fee) Peaceful and restful sleep!
We were welcomed as we drove up the driveway. Showed were to park and you could tell that they have had a LOT of rain. We backed into our spot and set up camp for the night. We had a massive storm coming through the area with the chance of tornadoes. LUCKILY!! They had an underground shelter! We got the rain and the hail but not to much wind. Survived the night and enjoyed our stay. Wish it was not so wet outside so we could have walked around and enjoy the property.
We were grateful they had a spot for us last minute! Was easy in and out and safe spot to leave the rig for an afternoon while we went to little rock. We got to talk to our host a bit when we came in and he even showed us his motorhome. Wish we coulda spent more time with them! Thanks for having us!
Chris was a great host! Enjoyed chatting with him and learning about his property and RV tips. They live in a beautiful part of Arkansas. Access was easy in our 35’ Safari and towed. Highly recommended!
It was very nice to stay here in Arkansas. The host was really nice to chat with. Would recommend to others.
My host was there when I arrived and directed me to my spot and showed me where to hook up my electric and water. We had a great talk which I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I hope I get the opportunity to stay again if I make it back this way! Two thumbs up!
This was our first use of Boondockers Welcome, and it was a complete success! When we arrived, Chris helped us get all hooked up with water and electric. We had a nice conversation about our camping experiences and got acquainted with each other. Chris and Elka were very accommodating. It was a win. win. win. with great hosts, great location, and great weather. We will definitely looked them up again if we get in the area!
Property was perfect - acres in a quiet, country setting with firm ground below and water and electric handy if you wanted it. Given how much it had been raining the day we came, this was a concern.
Host was very friendly and especially helpful with precise back up tips of when and how hard to turn our 27’ trailer. Not only does he have life long experience, he knows how to communicate it.
We stayed here 1 night on our way to Memphis on level land outside the owners home. They also offered 50 amp hookups. The area was nice and quiet and we enjoyed pleasant conversations!
Our hosts were so kind, we got there late and even though it was cold outside they were there to help us back in, get power and water and settled. They worked with us on last minute changes and their location was great! Huge parking area and land - great people. They even had gravel put down to make it easier on all Boondockers- what more could you ask for! Thank you so much
C&E are great people. Very friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed our stay.
Last minute change of plans and these hosts were extremely flexible to accomodate us. Nice country location with 50 amp and water to fill up our tank. Very friendly hosts and quiet spot for us. Less than 10 miles off I 40. Highly recommend.
I arrived after Sunset and the home owners guided me to my spot and were super helpful and friendly. The property is really spacious so it was easy to park. It was level ground which was awesome. I visited Little Rock the next day, and what an awesome city. So many cool little shops, ice cream shop, a bead store, vintage store called south Main creative, a furniture store named Sweet Home & Element. AND, I highly recommend visiting the purse museum, and all the stores nearby. The cafe next door is delicious as well and has a cute outdoor seating area. I tried to visit the Clinton Library, but it was temporarily closed, but you can see the exterior of building with interesting signs around and a park. Add Little Rock and Arkansas to your bucket lists. ✅
Quiet, safe place to stay. Woods to walk in. Enjoyed conversations with hosts, who have traveled much more than us. Hope our paths cross again.
Thank you for the restful night’s sleep on your beautiful property! You made our 1st Boondockers Welcome experience perfect! It was a pleasure talking to you and sharing stories. Thank you for your hospitality!
Second time to stay here. Sorry about some time confusion. However very happy to have been able to stay. Great place, great people.
Very welcoming & friendly, greeted us in the rain, helped us get parked & setup with power. Really enjoyed visiting with them, even picked up a few pointers from their experience. Thank you for sharing your peaceful property with us!
Ken & Cindy
Wide open spaces with no height concerns for our 42' long 13'-3" tall 5th wheel. The host was very accommodating, meeting us at the end of his long driveway and helping us to get parked. Quite, peaceful place with our T-Mobile Mifi working better than our Verizon one.
Chris and Elka were great host. Our dog Blue loved having open space to play ball.
Nice quiet spot. Host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and would stay again.
Beautiful place with beautiful people. Quiet wide open area. Could have stayed in this little piece of paradise forever. Unfortunately, our schedule required us to only stay one night. If we get back to the area, we would love to stay again.
C&E were great hosts! We tried to arrive earlier but since schedules didn't work out we came in a bit later. C helped us park easily on a level surface by the pole barn- try not to arrive at night if you have a tow vehicle as obviously the horseflies and mosquitoes like to greet you too!
We had to fix our electrical cord but because it was dark we were able to borrow his which was a huge help (*see previous comment as to why). This is why we love BW, everyone has "been there" and understands the woes of parking in an unknown place at night, running into a camper fix, and the bugs.
There are some great dispersed campsites about 20 minutes East in Hazen if you need more time. Check out Hot Springs- bring extra water jugs- and Little Rock has some yummy queso and about 11 microbreweries for an easy drive in. Great host location to it all and great land to walk in the woods or let the fur baby roam!
Safe travels C&E!
mstrshop1 were great hosts and what a nice, quiet spot to spend the evening with 50 amp and water available. we had no problem with our 35 foot MH. large area to walk the dog and "explore" the farm. Host was very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend. Thank you for being a host.
Great stop and easy access from I-40. So glad I could fit this stop into my schedule. I will be back someday.
Great place to STT along the road. Easy on- off art. 40. Friendly host and hostess. Would love to visit again.
This is a very nice place. Out in the country and wide open. A bayou runs at the back behind where we parked. Having the 50 amp power was a blessing in the August heat. Got to see mstrshop1 run several tractors as he was working the land and had nice, socially distanced, conversations with him.
Great place. Come and spend a night.
Thanks for making our stay a pleasant stopover.
Covid kept us from getting together but warm folk
What a great couple! The access to the parking area was clear and grass around was cut. Plenty of room to stretch our legs after a long travel day. Once settled in we talked a bit, we were given some great tips on the area and other places to visit. Nice peaceful night’s sleep. We would love to return to this spot when we come through the area again!
Our hosts were wonderful. They guided us to our spot. They were excellent. We had a quiet and peaceful night sleep. We would stay again in a heartbeat if we’re ever in the area again.
Had no problems finding and pulling in to gorgeous property. Host was very accommodating guiding us into spot and offering use of power adapter and extension cord if we needed them. Close enough to I-40 to be convenient but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Enjoyed the short chat we had with host. Very grateful for the hospitality with less than 24 hour notice.
Just when we thought we had met some wonderful hosts...we managed to meet the most caring, kind-hearted, and friendly person to host us to date. Wish we lived closer to visit more often!
Great location to spend a peaceful night. Host was very helpful and friendly. Already planned a return visit!
OMG Cannot tell you how great our host is. This one stop will always be on our list. Thank you so much for letting us come on short notice. "HPYTRLS" The Dob Pod....✌💙💙💙✌
We enjoyed a wonderful stay with the gracious hosts at mstrshop1. They are pleasant, nice and easy to chat with, we have many things in common. We look forward to seeing them again.
Access from the interstate is easy and straightforward. Follow instructions you receive from the hosts as sometimes gps will direct you to a nonexistent road. Entering the property is off a two lane highway with little traffic. It was an easy approach to pull-up and back in to the site, exiting is easy as well. Site was level, packed and grassy, our 45’ Moho did not require leveling jacks, nor did it sink.
mstrshop1 were magnificent host. Very kind and met us on our way into their property. Love the small chats we had. They even let us park under the rv shelter. Cannot say enough exciting things about our host. We will definitely be back if in the area.
The Dob Pod, "HPYTRLS"
We stayed a couple days with mstrshop1 and while we didn't get a lot of chances to interact, the hosts were very kind and provided us with a nice covered spot and electricity. They have a great big yard with a nice grassy section for the dogs to walk around, and a really pretty wooded area behind the grass. We were warned about leaving the RV at dusk since the bugs get pretty thick, but nothing a little bug spray couldn't handle.
It was our first time moving since the COVID-19 outbreak, and we felt very comfortable with them. We wish we would have gotten to talk with them a bit more, but perhaps our paths will cross again in the future.
Gracious Host and very friendly.
This was our first Boondocker's welcome host. If the rest are like these folks I am glad we joined.
He helped me back in and when I said my wife will be disappointed I can't deploy our satellite dish he help me get to where I could.
Very quiet rural setting.
Our Hosts were most accommodating!
Our site was level and we had a very quiet and comfortable night! Appreciated the 30 amp hookup😍.
Chris is a great host. He personally met us when we arrived and guided us to our spot. He's a very nice person and great to have conversations with. He made sure we felt welcome. We will surely come back and stay at Chris' place.
Chris, Thank you for your hospitality and for your friendliness. Best of wishes for you and your wife. God bless
We had a great overnight stay. I slept through the night, and that hasn't happened recently. I had a small problem with my motor home that I mentioned. Our host had the tools and wherewith-all to improve the situation.
Thanks for hosting us!
Great location and everything I needed for a quick stop on my cross country road trip. Good to see you again. Safe travels!
It was easy to find and the hosts were beyond kind. The property is beautiful and we are so glad we stayed here!
We had a wonderful experience here! Our host was exceptionally kind and generous. The property was beautiful. We felt totally safe the entire time. We would recommend this site.
Grateful for the hospitality. Chris was a great help in getting backed into designated spot. Very nice area, we slept like a baby refreshed and ready for another day on the road! Thanks Chris and Elka!!
The host was extremely welcoming and very helpful when GPS guided us to the wrong location. Such a beautiful spot, we had a great night's sleep. Thank you!!
We were s little weary using this service, but they were excellent hosts. Thanks for your hospitality!
This was a very tranquil and much needed rest stop on our long trip. We were completely spoiled by our hosts on our first boondocking experience. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and very welcoming. The farm was a very spacious and peaceful oasis for us and our dogs. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Thank you for an amazing stay and memorable experience!
This was a great place to stay. Only about 6l miles off interstate 40, the road feeds you right into farm country. Our hosts were great and we enjoyed chatting with him about the area and his tip on the produce stand close-by that had sweet strawberries. The parking was nice, level ground, although, I suspect if we had a good rain it might be challenging to pulll out.
Below is my “Rambling” from our stay. For photos, visit the Boondockers Welcome group on facebook.
May 6: Spent the morning rambling around Arkansa, looking at farmland and silos. Really is beautiful here and we’re lucky to have a Boondockers welcome site on a farm. Parked beside their farm, we can see the sunrise and the sunset. Sugars loving the sweet grass so much she kept rolling in it, and Melli is loving the birds.
A stop off at a produce stand our host told us about produces sweet sweet strawberries and bread baked with bits of chocolate. Our treasures for the day.
My heart was touched on our drive when we had to stop several times for busses and I commented to CH, “Huh, the schools must be going here.” As we waited, I wondered why it was taking so long for the child to get off the bus, then I realized what was happening as a woman with about six children came out of a small house and waited as the bus driver crossed the road with a large bag for each child. They were bringing food to the family. My heart got stuck in my throat as two of the little girls reached up to hug the driver. Another reminder of how this virus has brought out the best in America.
May 7: Today I woke to a cool morning and the smell of freshly plowed fields, with mist rising off the small fish pond. My video caught geese as they flew overhead. Later in the day there’ll be another camper pulllling in our place. I truly do love Boondockers Wellcome group. Pulllling out of the farm of our host, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet them and have a small glimpse of their life
It was good to see a friendly face after a very long day. Great spot, very accommodating. Host was very helpful by providing information on interstates for our future travels. I would recommend this place.
We enjoyed having a beautiful safe place to stay and having electricity too made it even better. Plenty of room to walk dogs on property. Our hosts were very friendly, patient and generous, and understanding of social distancing. Thank you!
Our stay here was just the restful retreat we needed. We loved stopping at the fruit stand down the road for freshly picked strawberries and watching the sun set over the back field was absolutely gorgeous.
We did a short over night with these wonderful folks. Communication was excellent in this ever changing world. We greatly appreciate these folks allowing us to stay here under the Covid19 circumstances as we are trying to make our way back home. The property is beautiful and the sunrise was spectacular! Stay safe and healthy mstrshop1 and come visit us when you have a chance!
This peaceful respite is conveniently accessible from the interstate. After being graciously greeted, they were very helpful in parking us, supplying power and filling our fresh water tank for much needed showers after 2 days on the road.
The quiet, restful sleep we enjoyed was refreshing.
We would definitely love to come back sometime, as we enjoyed the conversation, too!
We have enjoyed our stays with this caring and loving couple. We felt like we were meeting old friends again. Can't say enough about this joyful couple.
We really enjoyed our stay! The host's were very accommodating and friendly. They offered 50amp and a beautiful, quiet retreat from the road. The location was not far from the Interstate and very easy to get in and out of. We enjoyed a great nights sleep without highway noise! Thank you very much!
Thanks Chris! It was easy, quiet and dark! Everything we love. Come visit us in NH anytime.
they have a beautiful place and they are very welcoming. We stayed for two night and it was perfect. It was also our first time using BW we love this amazing community.
Hosts were very friendly and gracious! The drive in was easy and parking was a breeze. While visiting we took the 75m drive to Hot Springs and loved exploring the town!
Thanks so much - we really appreciate your hospitality!
We enjoyed talking to the friendly host and nice level spot.
We recommend them.
Easy in and easy out. 3 point turn into the spot was a breeze. They even offer power and water! Such a nice couple on a beautiful piece of props. Would stay again if passing through. Note, the roads flood with heavy rains according to the road signs. We were able to maneuver fine after a downpour.
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Convenient off I-40. Was able to fill holding tank with water, and even had electricity. Pleasure to stay there.
Great location perfect directions very friendly hosts. Chris made sure that we got set up. And. Ask if we needed anything. If you are traveling through Arkansas this is a perfect place to stay.
What a pleasant place to stay. The hosts were very helpful and a wealth of knowledge. They offered 50 amp service, but I didn't need it for the one night. They even have an open-ended shelter big enough for the biggest rigs. The property has many acres to roam included a wooded area. The skies were so dark that the night's stars were in abundance. Thank you for your hospitality.
We had a great stay in a very quiet area.
Nice talkings and tips for the rest of our trip. Chris make a defect electroblock working!
Thanks for having us!
Johan and Loes, The Netherlands
They have a great place, just a few minutes from the interstate. Wish we had more time to talk.
We just needed a safe place to park between Hot Springs Arkasas and Memphis Tennessee. This was perfect and our hosts even let us park underneath a shed due to the rain that was expected. Would HIGHLY recommend this location!
Wish we could have stayed longer! This was a lovely stay and we could have chatted it up with the host for hours.
Easy parking on the grass and we were even able to hook up on 50amp. The hosts brought us produce from the garden as well! We will definitely return and if you’re in the area it’s a must stop.
I greatly appreciated the thoughtfulness shown by my hosts and I hope to see you again sometime!
The setting is quiet, tranquil and put me at ease. My Cellular provider is a little lackluster but I appreciated temporarily breaking my link with the outside world!
Mstrshop1 was a very friendly and welcoming host. We enjoyed chatting with him upon our arrival. He did everything to help us make our set up easy and then gave us our space. They have a beautiful piece of land. Very nice!
Plans changed, requested arrival a day earlier than planned. Mstrshop1 was able to accommodate us. He met us on arrival, escorted use to the camp site and showed us the electrical hookup and water.
Beautiful, quiet farm, easy access.
This is a nice and easy-to-get-to farm house located east of Little Rock, very close to I-40. Chris was a wonderful host and was on hand when we arrived to guide us. A retired machinist at a large cosmetic factory, Chris is a real do-it-yourself kind of guy--he was busy refurbishing their big RV motorhome when we visited... and busy with clearing trees from his driveway... and busy picking up blueberries. He also found time to offer some excellent suggestions on places to go in the area. The 50 amp power connection was very well appreciated too especially when weather turned hot & humid! Thanks!!!!
Our hosts were very welcoming when we arrived and made us feel right at home. Beautiful spot to spend time off the road! Spot was level and we had water and electricity, always a treat when you boondock alot! Highly recommend a stay here.
Chris meet us on the drive in to help us get parked. It was a hot muggy Arkansas day, so Chris insisted we back into his covered parking AND provided 50 amp service so we could run our AC. Much appreciated. I really enjoyed talking to Chris and touring his Foretravel motor coach. He also gave us some great tips on towing that we didn't know. It's nice talking to someone with a lot of RV experience. Highly recommend starting here is you are traveling through Arkansas.
A beautiful garden at this hosts wonderful ranch, full of fruit trees, blueberry bushes and about the largest shade tree I’ve ever seen in their backyard. Helpful when we arrived, and we would return again if in the area. Thanks for a tour of your working shop.
We stayed for one night at this spot just off the interstate. It was very quiet, flat, shady and perfect for a peaceful nights rest. Chris and Elka greeted us on arrival, had a chat about all things travel and RVs and helped get us situated. Thanks again!
Thank you for being flexible and understanding with RV trouble. I look forward to future trips and I hope to stop over in the future.
This is a beautiful, peaceful country location and the hosts are wonderful. The site is set off from the road so it's very quiet with lots of room to walk your dogs (if you have them). We arrived after dark and our host welcomed us, lit up the area and directed us into our site. In the morning, he allowed us to tour his shop and his motorhome...he's almost convinced us to trade our 5th wheel for a motorhome. He is a big fan of Foretravel and should be hired as their ambassador. ;) But the kindness this couple showed us is what truly warmed our hearts. I had a family emergency and needed to return to Canada quickly and they invited us into their home to use their computer to assist us in making travel arrangements. And they continued to stay in touch and offer prayers. These are truly good, kind people and we hope to have the opportunity to visit them again some day.
Lovely one-night stopover in this beautiful countryside location. Great hosts. Helped us back into the site and provided helpful tips on local shopping. Chris is very handy and is doing a great job renovating his RV.
Great hosts on a really nice piece of land. River view. Make sure you have their directions because my GPS could not locate them. Once there, the driveway was a bit of a tight turn for my class A w/toad, but after that, piece of cake. Very quiet and clean location. Very helpful folks. My rear lightbulb had gone out. Clint helped me replace it. He also helped unhook my toad and guided me in to the wide parking spot. Definitely will keep them on my great place to stay list.
Very refreshing location. And quite welcoming couple. Enjoyed visiting with them a bit and seeing all they are doing to outfit their rig. Thanks again... especially for accommodating our delay.
Really great time here. Such nice land !!! Loved your cat!!!! Great job building . Take care ^_^
Helped me charge a dead battery and had a nice quiet farmpalce. Very nice Christian man. Thank you
Chris and his son Jonathon warmly greeted us just before dark and were very helpful getting us situated on our site for the night. The location was perfect... Not far off the highway but very quiet and private a well as scenic. Chris was a great host and we enjoyed chatting. Would highly recommend staying here.
This location is so nicely tucked away from street (no noise) and lights. I slept so well.
Thank you for having a level spot (I don't have levelers) and shore power.
As I pulled into his yard came our and helped me park and hooked up the electric
We toured the workshop. Where he was fitting a new radiator in his rv
Pointed out lots of things I didn't know and when I left leaving my wheel chock behind rushed down the road to catch me
Chris welcomed a smile me when I arrived after a long day on the road. He directed me to where I could park my van and even helped me to get the van level. He showed me his rig that he was working on with a friend and we chatted for a while before I turned in for the night. I decided to leave his property early in the morning because the weather was threatening. He came out of his house to help me unplug and say goodbye. I asked him on leaving to pass on my thanks and regrets at not meeting Elka.
The host was super helpful guiding us in to the driveway, it comes up on you quick. There were some wet areas so the host asked if he could park it for us since he knows all the wet spots to avoid. Very quiet place and host was wonderful.
We had a wonderful time staying with this family. I say family because that is how they treat you, as if you are part of their family. Great quiet site, even provided electric and water. Spent a long time visiting with them and enjoying their stories and hospitality. Great people, it just does not get any better than this!
The perfect respite for this weary traveler. And a big thanks to Chris for giving me directions so I missed the morning rush hour in Little Rock.
Thank you for hosting this weary traveller. Your location is peaceful and beautiful. I arrived just as the sun was setting.
I slept well and am on the road again.
Thank you again!
We had a very peaceful night’s sleep here as we were passing through the area. There was more than enough room to park our 41’ fifth wheel, tow vehicle, and second vehicle. Chris and Elka also provided us with electric and water. They were very friendly and welcoming to our entire family. I would absolutely recommend this location to other travelers!
What an amazing host. I was traveling from Memphis to Texarkana and was late leaving. At the last minute, I wasn't sure I could make it to my destination because there was a storm heading toward me. I took a chance and made a last minute request to stay. I was quickly accepted and when I arrived I was met in the dark, with the host's car and flashlight to guide me in. He had moved another rv out from under his covered port and let me park under it. That night the storm was raging like crazy but I was safe under the rv port. I was able to spend some time visiting with Mstrshop1 the next day before I left. They are wonderful, kind, thoughtful and caring folks. I would definitely stay again if in the area.
Thank you Mstrshop1 for your wonderful hospitality and kindness. I really appreciate all you did for me.
Hosts were very welcoming! Waited at the driveway to make sure we didn’t miss the house, helped place us and offered electric and water. Mosquitos were horrible but with all the rain lately, it was understandable and uncontrollable. The property was huge and even showed us the storm cellar as we were dodging tornado watches our whole trip that day. Only tip we have is to take I-40 to Hwy 31N as it’s the best way to the house. We took something different without knowing and it was stressful to say the least lol
Thank you for everything hosts!!
Easy in and out quite and safe :) lovely people and very helpful. Superb place to harbor for the night. Highly recommend!
My husband and I had a great night near Little Rock! Our host was very kind, gave us a tour of his rig and even let us pick some blueberries from his garden! We appreciated the gift as well! We would definitely recommend staying with these folks.
This was our first experience boondocking and it could not have been better. A great spot with friendly folks greeting us. Look forward to staying again.
Chris and Elke went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and we had some very interesting chats about shared experiences. Whenever we see Blueberries in the future we will think of them..... they let us pick some of theirs that were ripe for the picking :)
Very easy to locate & park on a level pad with 50amp service. My RV has 30amp & I didn't have an adapter. Chris loaned me the proper apparatus & I was in a/c right away. The property is private & quiet.....any time I'm pass through AR, I will request a stay at this property!
Wonderful stay. Chris communicated with me prior to visit and was there to meet me upon arrival. He helped me get backed into the site and helped hook up to the 50-amp service. Had a good, long conversation with Chris. He gave me a short tour of his workshop and directions to places to shop.
We had a great experience and highly recommend Boondockers welcomes. Wonderful hosts. I do not understand why we are asked to reply so many times to the same sites.
Wonderful spot to spend the night with wide open spaces for the dog to run and explore. I couldn't have asked for better hosts and we could have talked for hours but I needed to get back on the road. I love the concept of meeting real people along the way while driving across the country.
Chris & Elka are so kind! Only about 8 miles off I40. Chris guided us into the Perfect spot for our motor home. Got us hooked up to electricity right away. Total privacy!! Love our first boondocking experience!
Chris and Elka were great hosts. We really enjoyed chatting with them and getting tips from their RVing experiences. Their property is beautiful and Chris was nice enough to offer us shelter from a rainstorm by letting us Park in a covered carport. We really enjoyed our visit with them and hope to see him again either their place, our place, or on the road!
Chris was very flexible with us during our correspondence when we ended up arriving later than anticipated. Upon arrival, he generously helped us get hooked up to electric an water. He has a nice large area to park. Then, he gave us a little tour of his RV rigs and home business products he sells. He even gave us a fruit-fly catcher he made! We spent a quiet and peaceful night out in the country on his land, and continued our journeys the next morning. We're grateful for being allowed to stay the night!
We arrived on Monday and were warmly greeted by Chris and Elka. Because of some pretty heavy rain the night before, the grounds were extremely muddy. Chris quickly helped us get settled and got a rug to place at our entrance to prevent mud being tracked into the rig. The view was fantastic, being able to see for miles and we had a great flat spot to park. In no time we got a tour of some of the amazing things that Chris has created. Before we left on Wednesday morning, Chris put in a 50 amp electrical outlet. This is our 2nd experience at Boondockers Welcome and we are thrilled with the wonderful people we have met.
I made a last minute request for me and my traveling buddy with his own RV to stay and were graciously accommodated. Our host was warm and welcoming, everything one could want in a Boondockers Welcome host!
Great location, wonderful host. Helpful getting into the spot and allowed us to plug in. Makes traveling across the country so much easier, many thanks!
We enjoyed our stay with these folks, very friendly, nice level site..would happily return
These lovely folks could not have been more gracious. Everything we needed they provided. Lovely farm setting and lake, plenty of room to turn around.
We ended up getting to mstrshop1's place when it was almost dark. He met us at the end of his drive so we would not pass it. Talk about home for a country boy it is a quiet place and heard a few roosters crowing the next morning. Our middle daughter evacuated from Rock Port, Tx.and oldest daughter, son in law and three grand girls house was flooded in Orange, Tx. so mstrsop1 gave me a surprise to share with my grand girls. We exchanged contact information and will definitely see each other again along the way.
Thanks, and God Bless
Carrol & Pam
Spent 1 nite in May. Wonderful location on large farm. Chris is a man of many talents. Awesome shop. They have a thriving Internet business and craft many interesting items. Thanks from J & K
They live in a nice quiet spot not far from the small town of Lonoke. We parked our RV in the covered area where their RV usually sits and as it rained the night we were there it most welcome. They were friendly and welcoming and gave us some good travel tips for our onward journey. This was a very pleasant stop and we thank them for their hospitality.
They were a delighted couple to be around. Very friendly and shared information about the area. We were treated very well. We even got some fresh eggs from them.
I have to share a story with fellow boondock friends that has moved me in a dramatic manner. Yesterday as we were stopping at a rest area I suddenly lost the brakes on the coach. Thank goodness for being equipped with an exhaust brake! After coming to a stop, I sent a text to one of the many angels that surround Bob and me. My trusty mechanic Todd soothed my feathers and gave me sound advice so that I could limp on down the road to our planned overnight spot. This is where we met, yet, more angels in our life. Mstrshop1, our Boondockers Welcome hosts. They guided me into their property and immediately backed the coach into his master shop. Within 30 minutes he found that my brake line had broken and proceeded to run into town, buy the parts and fix it for us. I cannot express the feelings of gratitude that we feel today. If there was ever a doubt in anyone's mind that God does not exist, I am here to say "you are sadly mistaken". This journey we are on, called LIFE, has moved me emotionally on so many levels. We are blessed.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Chris and Elka
Susan and Bob
I had a good and quiet day with this great couple. Mr C. helped me to set up the RV under a covered place where he usually leaves his own RV and even looked into my generator issues. Polite and pleasant people.
Thank you so much!
I was hoping to stay here, but mechanical problems prevented this. However, Chris went out of his way to help me find good service for my issue. He truly helped me a great deal. He certainly has a boondocking place in florida anytime he wants.
We were so pleased that mstrshop1 had a last minute spot for us to stay. We were just passing through for a minute, but they were so welcoming and kind. We appreciate their accommodations so much. Thank you.
They were so helpful and just a joy to visit with. We spent hours talking after we set up for the night. We hope to see them again on the road
