Having sold our house in late 2014, we are now enjoying the opportunity to travel to places we have always dreamed of visiting. As guests, we are courteous, respectful, helpful when desired, and very easy to get along with. We believe "If you look for beauty in the world, you will find it."
Bri worked for 35 years in the conservation field and has a great knowledge and understanding of natural environments. Most of Bri's time was spent helping private landowners understand the value and inter-connectivity of natural resources on their land. Bri is a good campfire guitar player and singer, loves to fish, cook and is a reasonable handyman. Vida is a budding artist, loves nature and has a great interest and understanding of alternative healing modalities. Both Bri and Vida share a simplistic view of living comfortably without excess and are happy to spend their time out on on the hiking trails instead of in the malls.
We have recently joined the group and are new to the boondocking way of travelling other than the odd Walmart or highway rest/truck stops. We have spent almost all our camping time in provincial, state and federal parks in several parts of Canada and the USA. Our favourite locations have been in the wide open spaces of the west.
Both Bri and Vida were born, raised and educated in Toronto and were fortunate to escape the big city for small town life in Penetanguishene, Ontario on beautiful Georgian Bay. Having recently sold our house, we are enjoying full time living in our RV coupled with house sitting opportunities as they arise. The foreseeable future has many travel adventures awaiting!
We are travelling in a 30ft. Heartland Sundance 5th wheel with 3 slides. Her tow vehicle is a pristine 1995 Ford F250 turbo-diesel pick-up! She's a beauty for sure and is the focus of many discussions in the campgrounds.
We had the pleasure of hosting Brian and Vida last week in our driveway.
It was there first experience with boondockers and I think everything turned out excellent for both of us. They were friendly, quiet and respectful of our property.
We had a lovely chat about past and future adventures, and we look forward to seeing them again next time they are in our area.
