I've been working with computers for 30+ years.
I enjoy Ham radio, camping, fishing, hiking, and shooting.
I was born in Edmonds Washington, stationed at Scott AFB in 1991 and I just never left.
Such a pleasant stay from a kind couple. A lovely acreage and they offered fishing on their lake, but we were too tired from our travels. We were greeted with a dozen fresh eggs and bought a jar of their delicious honey. Loved the chickens! Made ourselves dinner with the eggs, yum, and my husband felt like Winnie the Pooh with the honey! In the morning we walked down the street to an apple orchard for an apple slushee and apple cider donuts. Back at the rig we topped off our water. Would highly recommend. Very sweet and QUIET place. Yay.
Host is very nice and there is plenty of room with a good quiet neighbors and lots of places near by to go see.
The host greeted us warmly and was kind enough to open their yard. We chatted and loved visiting with them. They have an awesome property which they take very good care of. The lake in the back is a bonus!
We can't say enough good things about our stay. The spots were level and easy access to pull in / turn around. Most importantly, the people are super wonderful folks. As noted in other reviews they gave us a dozen fresh eggs and we ate some of them that night. They were super fresh and seriously yummy :) THANKS! This was our first experience using BoonDockers Welcome ... they may have spoiled us (LOL).
Choice between beautiful gravel or grassy level sites. Wonderful host greeted us with a gift of 12 fresh eggs! They were so good that my usual one egg wasn't enough. I ate four eggs for supper! A very quiet night. This was my first experience with BW and I don't see how it could get any better than this.
Large grass area to park and relax. Hosts were great, they offered great advice on fixing some leaks around the windows of my trailer. Neighborhood has a orchard with fresh fruit and vegetables for sale within walking distance. Very nice place I wish I could have stayed longer. See you next time and take care!
We had a great time at Turkey Hill. Our host gave us eggs and veggies. The walk to the orchard for donuts is a must. We enjoyed fishing and caught some nice fish. Thank you for a great time.
The owners were MORE than accommodating but also super friendly and helpful in many ways. I greatly enjoyed chatting with them and even purchased some honey from their own hives. The property is beautiful and quiet. I was able utilize his pond to swim and fish in and also let my dog cool off and run around. I do have to note there are some low trees getting to the property so drive SLOW thankfully no damage caused at 13.5 foot tall so totally doable. I look forward to returning one day.
This was a great stay. The hosts were amazing and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The dogs had lots of room to run and swim in the pond. Would love to stay again when in the area.
We were very lucky to find this great accommodation! Our host was incredible and treated us to a fantastic time. The eggs, the fishing, the conversation- just wonderful! Thank you again!
Wonderful stay, very nice gentleman.
Safe and serene , even caught a couple fish!
Thanks again BW Host!
Host was super welcoming. Greeted us the a dozen farm fresh eggs. Invited us walk around his beautiful property complete with chickens, fishing pond, and solar panels. We catch a large bluegill fish in the pond which we released. We visited the fresh market down the street and very much enjoyed our stay.
Gracious and welcoming hosts. Beautiful property. Fresh eggs from their hens were delicious. Many outdoor activities and STL are nearby. We plan to come back again in the future.
I felt so welcomed and safe here. Very lovely place to stay and the pond was super relaxing after a day of driving. Sure hope my travels bring me back here again sometime.
Enjoyed the quiet location, seeing the beehives and our discussion on bees. Loved the pond and the fishing. A farm market and bakery was less then 1/2 mile walk.
K7DZE have a great place to RV stay SE of St. Louis (STL). We shared bee lore from Florida. Learned much to improve our bee keeping. Their gift of a dozen eggs from their chickens was a great treat. Local area Tractor Supply helped on some upgrades. Nearby Eckerts, a farm store, has some great buys. A light rail station is nearby for the hour ride in to STL. With all this, there's still allot of rolling cornfields and farms. Beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay at a beautiful place with wonderful hosts. :)
This is a beautiful property. We were disappointed we were only there for one night and couldn't fully enjoy it all. We would have loved to check out the little lake and do some fishing. We did see lots of lightning bugs and the kids enjoyed running in thr field chasing and trying to catch them. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.
This is such a beautiful place to stay at, and the hosts were so amazing! Would definitely stay here again!
Had such an amazing time with our host and his wife that we extended our stay with an additional visit. You can't ask to meet better people, they are and absolute delight to be around. The farm fresh eggs are great, we learned about bee farming as well as chicken farming. It was so nice to walk around the open property and relax on the dock by the lake. 10/10 we would stay here a million times over if we could, we cannot express or tell you how wonderful this place is, and when you reach the dragon the adventure begins. its also only 25 mins away from st louis.
Absolutely amazing hosts and homestead! Both hosts are amazing people and super helpful with everything. They gave us amazing food references to eat at locally and took us fishing. They were generous enough to let us use some fishing poles. The homestead is very peaceful and relaxing. Differently try the fresh eggs!
Gracious and welcoming hosts. Very Pleasant experience. Beautiful piece of property. (Thanks for the lender poles, it was the highlight of our boys trip)
