Hi Folks!
Time to update the profile, as of Aug. 9, 2018
After a two decade break from RVing, I am back at it...have so far travelled around Ontario through the States to NB, PEI, and NS...we live in such a beautiful country!!
In the good old days I spent six months mostly boondocking all over Mexico. It was a wonderful experience but I would hesitate to do that now...getting older and a little more cautious, I guess. It would be terrific to meet up with other solo RVers who are into not just traveling and sight seeing, but also hiking, biking, dog sports...anything to stay fit and enjoy nature.
Being a senior on a budget, boondocking really appeals, and the five BW sites I have stayed at so far have proved how much fun it can be, as well as adding a sense of security. I only wish I had space to offer the same where I live!
Still trying to decide whether to head south this winter to soak up the sun. So far, I have chickened out.
Very much looking forward to meeting other members of this great club!!
I joke that I have no marketable skills, but in the past I have been a microbiology technologist, an acupuncturist, a cookie lady, and medical sales manager. Hobbies include the dreaded stock market...ugh..., jewellery making, dog sports, fermented food making, meditation, zumba, boxing...I could go on....oh, and on this last trip I brought along my trays of microgreens...they seem to like to travel.
My travel buddy is a 6 1/2 year old mutt...a wonderful mix of 8 breeds! He is scruffy and funny and my best friend, although he would be more useful RVing if he had opposable thumbs and could read maps and set the GPS. I bought the RV specifically so I could travel with him...I would never put my dog in the cargo of a plane!!
Have now been to several BW sites...all wonderful!!!...PEI, Elora, Ridgetown, Woodstock, Violet Hill, Goderich, Stratford, and more than a few Walmarts...which are very much appreciated for a quick overnight park! Cabellas and Cracker Barrels are also very generous with their parking lots!
I live in Port Dalhousie. It is part of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. My apartment is the top floor of an old house built in 1870 and it overlooks the Henley, an international rowing waterway, so there is always something going on here.
My rig is a 2011/12 Class C Adventurer. She's a very pretty workhorse, easy to drive at only 19' [just over 20' nose to tail], no slides, and has all the components necessary to live a self-contained lifestyle. No generator on board.
Had a wonderful visit with Linda and Keith the dog.... I wish they could have stayed longer. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying having them visit.
Had the best of luck getting rvharv as a repeat visitor. Great guests...both human and canine.
A wonderful visit and welcomed back anytime!
We had a nice time visiting with Linda and Kieth. Learned lots of info about boondocking through Mexico in the past. A good time with Kieth as he showed us how he sings for his supper. Come back anytime.
Two great guests, Keith the dog is adorable and well behaved. His human, a lovely person!
Their visit was perfect. Not sure who had the most fun, the dog or the humans....
I would highly recommend this boondocker to all.

We expected another Boondockers Welcome guest but had no idea how much her stay would enhance our weekend. What a lovely gal, super conversations, and great hiking partner (despite the heat). The dog, Keith, is also a gem. I'm hoping they're serious about considering a move to Elora - we'd love to see much more of them. We'll keep an eye out for a nice apartment (that accepts pets). Meanwhile, please come back and visit often!
We hosted , Nancy, Linda and Patty in their two motorhomes and they were great and their three dogs, would have them back anytime, very pleasant ladies
