John and Ellie started on their full-time adventure on June 1st 2015. John is a semi-retired Realtor and weekly columnist who has shifted his attention to his new blog "The American Wine Trail.com", Ellie is a retired Manager from Kaiser Permanente (a major healthcare company in California). They have lived in Temecula, CA for 7 years and grew to appreciate the wine culture. We are traveling with our 2-1/2 year old Labradoodle who is just a sweetheart.
We are traveling the United States for one year, to see all the beautiful sites and to visit not only the wineries but other food and entertainment destinations. John not only blogs about the wineries, he blogs about the interesting places we visit and the wonderful people that we meet.
We love the idea of the boondockers welcome and would appreciate meeting and sharing stories with other RV'ers.
John and Ellie
Ellie loves to cook and John is pretty good with the computer - he designed our web-site and I think he did a very good job, he is still learning though (learning is a forever process).
We have only started our Journey, but one of our favorites so far was the Olema Campground near Point Reyes, CA. There is so much to do and see around the area and only about 20 minutes from Stinson Beach. The campground was beautiful, calm and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Will go back there for sure.
We are from Temecula, CA but unfortunately do not have boondocking facilities are our home.
We have a 2005 Coachman Aurora that is 34' long, it is our little house on wheels. We also are towing a 2002 Saturn.
