We were truly delighted to be able to host Angrybird at our home this summer! We had had the good fortune to be hosted by them last March, so this gave us the opportunity to pay back their generous hospitality. This is what Boondockera Welcome is all about!
We consider them good friends and hope to see them again. Safe travels!
We have become friends with Jackie and Harold. Great place, lovely food and wonderful hospitality. We just keep coming back and we are always welcomed.
Wow I really enjoyed getting to know the “Angry birds”. We shared a lot of good stories but I never did ask about angry bird.
They live in a great neighborhood very quiet.
I will be back.
Our hosts went over the top to welcome us to their beautiful location right in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have made new friends and hope they come visit us this summer so we can reciprocate their hospitality.
You are lucky if you can stop here for a night!
Harrold and Jackie again treated us like family as we passed through on the great northern migration. Wonderful folks and we look forward to seeing them again this summer at our Boondockers Welcome in Nova Scotia.
Angrybirds welcomed us back with a delicious Saint Patrick’s Day meal and lots of conversation. We were looking forward to seeing them again and were not disappointed. We look forward to seeing them again on our own turf. Thank you so much! God bless!
We're glad WE did! Though hard-pressed to say which was finer: the food or the conversation. Homemade chicken 'n dumplings. And we're not kidding. They even gave our dog the run of the backyard. The experience reminded us of what has always been great about our country: the kindness of strangers and the opportunity to break bread and walls. Thank you, Harold and Jackie for a swell boondocking memory.
We really enjoyed our stay with angrybird. Good chile and wine with generous hosts. We feel like we were at home. We hope they will come to see us in our country.
It was so nice to see those lovely people again. There feel like real friends!! The conversation was funny, personal and interesting and they made you feel at home. The drinks and food were wonderful and we hope to see them one day in The Nethetlands.
Jackie and Harold were amazing hosts. We enjoy the people, the peace and beautiful nature.
Our first acquaintance with Boondockers host's was great. Jackie and Harold have us very warmly received. It was for us an exciting and long travel day. Our RV we had to pick up in Baltimore from a ship which was an accident happened. Jackie and Harold told us that we didn't have to do any shopping. They have spoiled us with delicious drinks, appetizers, soup and a great dessert. We have enjoyed with each other. Thanks, it was great.
We had a wonderful time staying with and getting to know Harold and Jackie. The whole experience was above and beyond what we expected. We look forward to hosting them when they visit Nova Scotia! Safe travels!
It directly started on the phone! A nice talk joking and laughing. Harold and Jackie have a lot to give. Stories with nice details, good questions, lot of interests and a great hospitality. And a strong gin cocktail and good wine🍷. The evening was to short!! Keep in contact.🇮🇶
Oooooh jacky and harold,
Such a beautifull couple. We stayed 2 nights and it was so amazing. They opend there house for uss and lets us feel so welkom. We had very nice conversations, we got amazing food and fell totaly in love with there visla maddy. They are such interesting people. It was with pain in the hart we left them. I hope they will visit us in belgium and give them the same hospitality they gave us. Thank you harold, jacky and maddy.
We stayed with Angrybird at the start of our eighty day journey across the United States and Canada and their warmth, helpfulness, and company stands out as a highlight of our boondocking experience. We certainly hope to see them in our neck of the woods.
these folks and their dog set the bar pretty high for the rest of the Boondocker hosts. This was our first use of our membership and we weren't sure what to expect. By the time we left the next morning, we felt like we were old friends. They are warm, generous, fun and interesting. Beautiful view of the Blue Ridge from their driveway. We would give them an A++.
Was an overnight guest of "Angrybird" on January 16th, 2017. Highly Recommend!
Access, communication process, and stay were everything you'd hope for: a warm and accommodating (and very generous) couple who enjoy hearing and sharing life stories. RV set-up was convenient, quiet, just terrific. Angrybird(s) offered a helpful and clear map to assist with arrival. Once there, they clearly wanted me to feel welcomed, and never pressured. This was a wonderful experience. Thank you!
Like everyone else, I don't know why they chose Angrybirds, except for Mrs. Angrybird liked to play the game. These two love to meet new people and we definitely hit it off. A really great way to spend a day or two. We shared a little food and wine and our dog Maggie loved their Maddie. Couldn't ask for more.
Stayed one night, super accommodating. We had a good time exploring our mutual interest. Certainly would be high on list for the next trip through the area
We would highly recommend Angrybird - but this host couple has to change their name. They are about as far from angry birds as you can imagine. Wonderful, kind and generous people (not to mention kindred spirits). When we arrived, we were heading south not entirely sure where and they helped us chart our course and the rest of our journey. We stopped for another night on our way home and in the morning parted as friends who will surely meet again.
As first time Boondockers, the welcome we received was like one from old friends, not new acquaintances. The hospitality and conversation were something we will always remember. Our experience has left us with an even greater anticipation of RVing and Boondocking.
Thank you again for being such great hosts.
My hosts, a Baby Boomer couple, were extremely understanding and intuitive of a single traveler's demise! A tractor trailer had just clipped my van earlier, so they helped me look up the transportation company and DOT number on the Internet. And we exchanged stories of our lives with a glass of dry red wine, my favorite evening beverage. A very nice peaceful and wonderfully sociable night at their place.
What a nice couple. They hosted me and my 2 german shepherds overnight. From helping me back up the driveway at night to inviting me to share dinner, they couldn't have been more helpful or kind. Since I had already eaten, I shared some wine and they let my dogs run around their large, fenced backyard. For their company and kindness I would not hesitate to stay here again.
It was a privilege to be Angrybirds first guests, and what a treat for us.
Such generous, friendly and accommodating people.
We shared a meal, 2 bottles of wine, lots of laughs, many travel stories and life experiences.
We feel we have known these folks forever.
Thanks so much, hope we meet again sometime, somewhere.
