I am a veteran of 20 years... Air Traffic Controller with the Air Force. I then moved on to Civil Service at the US Air Force Academy as a Web Programmer Specialist for 24 years. I now work remotely for a contractor for the Navy. My wife, Julie, and I are enjoying this season of life traveling in our trailer while I work remotely. We enjoy taking walks and exploring new places and tourist towns. I am also an amateur landscape photographer.
Primary skills are computer, web site work and photography. We can also help or advise others with mechanical RV challenges. Julie enjoys cooking, quilting, machine embroidery, and she plays a 12 string guitar.
We have a well behaved and friendly rescue by the name of Toby, he's about 6 years old now. He is a white 20 pound mix of poodle and terrier and whatever!
Well, if this is referring to dispersed camping, we do have a couple places. But Colorado is in a population and RV boom right now. Over crowding is a serious issue for camping no matter where we go. So while in Colorado, we mostly reserve at State Parks and National Forest Campgrounds and make those reservations months in advance.
Colorado Springs, CO has been our home town for over 25 years. We live near the USAF Academy and it is a good place to live. We frequently camp and travel in the Colorado mountains from April through October. We often plan a long out of state trip each year and that is when we would like to utilize the guest services of Boondockers Welcome. What a wonderful program!

It was a pleasure to host Techy Traviler at the 20 acre wood. They communicated their ETA and updated us when they had a bit of trouble with their truck. They arrived within 2 minutes of their updated ETA. Outstanding. We enjoyed chatting with them on our little deck as the sun set and they set out on their journey quietly in the morning. We would be happy to host them again any time they are in the area.
TechyTravelors were the perfect guests; friendly, respectful, caring, interesting and just plain fun. Plus, they demonstrated their deep personal faith and Christian character in everything they said and did. We so enjoyed getting acquainted with both of them and their darling Toby, who was just fascinated with our barn cat!
We look forward to future visits and perhaps even a guitar concert!
We really enjoyed our evening around the fire visiting with this great couple and their sweet dog Toby. They are very experienced campers and had helpful insight into RV solar upgrades. Just a delightful couple! We would love to have them back anytime!
