I live a rural lifestyle and I'm loving life in my 60's and learning to balance my time to get to the the things I hoped to get to in "retirement". Just passing through, and drinking it all in...
Construction, gardening, outdoor activities, travel, guitar, good listener, counselor and social worker in my last life I do a lot of community service volunteering doing construction projects and working with local teens.
Sometimes a 50 lb.mixed breed hound may be here. She is a 2 1/2 year old Puerto Rican rescue (looks like an Italian Greyhound) with a fun-loving nature. She's an expert hiker who gets along easily with gentle and playful people and other dogs.
We make frequent and regular trips throughout New England and especially love the Maine coast and the Nawth Woods. I love sliing and my Epic Pass and take my solo truck camper on ski trips, so I always have a ski lodge. Planning to explore the Adirondacks this Spring, Summer and Fall, and will visit Lakes Ontario and Erie. Sometimes we just like to pick a direction and head out without a plan for a few days. We ALWAYS find someplace new and interesting...
Stoddard, NH is a tiny lake town in The Monadnock Region of Southwest NH. We have the second highest village in NH, and so get roughly the same weather they have in the White Mountains though they are 100 miles north. I live in an old lake community on a lake, and have a shared right of way to where we keep our boats. There is fantastic boating, fishing, hiking, snow-shoeing and cross country skiing in and around town, and great biking through historic little towns on the old farm-to-market back roads of The Monadnock Region. The population triples here in the summer, as this is a place that people from away have spent their summers for generations. Great foliage in Autumn!
We travel with a Northstar Liberty Truck Camper on an F-150. The camper is self-contained for long and short stays. We usually have a couple bikes on the back but may put the bikes on our kayak trailer when we need to take boats.
Enjoyed getting to know these folks on their Norther New England tour. Hope to be able to visit them at their host locations in the future.
Arrived right when they said they would. Short stay, welcome to come again.
Solid All-American couple+dog were my guests. They were cordial, self-sufficient and interesting people. I hopethey find their way again.
A quick visit to get the season rolling! Nice to meet Glenn and tilly as they travel the coast. Safe travels!
Sweet dog and considerate Guest. I was busy and didn’t get to chat but the music coming from the camper was pretty darn good!
What a pleasure it was to have glennstan24 visit with Tillie, his 2yr old pup. Our own dog has decided that this Boondocker gig is the best and Tillie by far has won her over. Glenn was a perfect guest, and even invited our pup along on his walk through woods. He is welcome back anytime.
A friendly couple with a nice dog. They left no sign that they had been there when they left.
I was out for the weekend so I didn’t get to meet Glenn. Hopefully he will be able to return for another stay or I will have the chance to visit his place.
This host was very friendly and helpful. The spot for the RV is very small. 25 feet is the MAX size. It's a bit tricky backing uphill into the spot but the host guides you. Although we were given the password for the wifi the signal was not strong enough for me to get access to the internet. There's a lovely pond within walking distance and the host has a canoe you can use although we didn't have time to take advantage of it. It is very quiet & peaceful here.
