My wife and I are teachers so each summer we have done a month long camping trip with our kids for the past 3 years. This year, my family and I are on a 4 month camping trip around the U.S. My elementary school age kids are being homeschooled, and I am working online during the pandemic, so we are making the most of our Covid year. This has been a dream of ours for many years now and we were fortunate enough that my work moved online that I wouldn't have to take a leave of absence to do this trip. We left our house in late February 2021, and so far, as of 4/15/2021 we have traveled through the lower southern states and then up the east coast through New Jersey.
I know about Electronic hardware as I teach circuit board level topics.
We left our poor golden retriever with Grandma :( Our kids are missing her very much.
Although we've only stayed at one BDW location, I doubt we will ever find one any better than NarrowGateFarm in Amissville, VA. We never wanted to leave. In terms of other camping, our favorite cities we have visited are Bend Oregon, Astoria Oregon, Port Angeles Washington, Glacier National Park, Crested Butte and Marble Colorado.
La Verne, California. My wife is from Monterey California and we met in San Luis Obispo in college. If you've never been to San Luis Obispo, it is our favorite city in the U.S. We hope to find a new favorite city when we visit your home town.

What a wonderful family, They are so fortunate to be able to take their children on a four month tour of our great country,, it will be part of their families story for the rest of their lives
It was a pleasure to host this family! We enjoyed getting to know them during their 5 night stay. The children are sweet and well behaved. They visited some attractions in the area and one night we had a nice evening around our fire pit. We hope to see you all again some day. Safe travels!
It's people like Joe and his family who make being a boondocking host so enjoyable and rewarding. Joe was kind enough to let us borrow his electronics expertise to assist us with a few issues on our own rig. And his children were such a delight. We hope our paths cross again one day!
